    ~~ Take A Break's Fate & Fortune ~~ I have recently stopped buying all my weekly magazines and I just keep to my regular monthly ones, mainly because I was just not getting the time to read them all. I chose this one because I love spooky stories and reading about anything spiritual. So, enough of my waffle lets get down to business of the magazine.     Advantages Advantages bright and colourful, well presented, lots of varied articles, 7 pages of horoscopes

    Disadvantages Disadvantages poor journalism, not believeable, lots of adverts, puzzles are easy to complete

    I can take or leave celebrity magazines, I have never really got excited about the latest copy of Heat or Hello magazine, but the one thing I do love, merely for cheap laughs is Fate and Fortune which is a spin off to Take a Break. My mum buys Take a Break magazine and we usually argue over whom is going to do all of the puzzles first when I go around for dinner so when she stopped buying it I was hoping to find something else to keep me amused.     Advantages Advantages gave me a good laugh.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages impossible to believe 99% of whats in it.

    Ok for a start off I am not big into magazines of any kind (with the exception of computing mags) and I am certainly not an avid reader of the original take a break magazine or this spin off from it (take a breaks fate and fortune) so in order to write this review I have done plenty research, a fair bit of first time reading of this mag and I have also taken a lot of very good advice from my fiancée who cant get enough of these types of magazines, so here goes!     Advantages Advantages A pleasant change to the usual magazines.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages How do we know any of it's real?

    While I am not a huge magazine reader I often find myself browsing the shelves during my supermarket trips and looking for something to read, often tired of the usual celeb filled options I'll sometimes pick up Take A Break Fate & Fortune for a little something different. It's certainly not a magazine for everybody, in fact for some it contains many subjects they may disapprove of such as mediumship(talking with the dead) Psychics and magic.     I must admit I am not a huge fan of magazines and usually only buy them if I am going on a long journey, the main reason being I can't be bothered reading all these celebrity mags. Let's be honest they only tell you what they want to be public knowledge and every different magazine will usually have the same story, you know what colour the latest wag or BB wannabes knickers are! (Sorry rant over) But this magazine does appeal to me firstly it is monthly and secondly I am interested in all things natural and spiritual the other bonus is there is very little about celebrities.     Take a break This is one of those magazines I picked up a while ago, in error- I merely saw “Take a Break” and thought it was the original magazine by that name. needless to say, it’s quite different, although being a spin off of the original magazine, this does promise to deal with true life stories. I was never especially convinced by the original, but continued to give this a go.     Advantages Advantages A to Z for all your supernatural ads

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Unbelievable stories and too many ads

    I like the supernatural stories but this magazine was a little too unbelievable. There are more advertisements for anything and everything to do with supernatural than i have ever seen in other similar magazines. You have the usually horoscopes which will tell you everything from love to money and then as I've previously the unbelievable stories.......... it's good for unknown tarot readers or fortune tellers to get acknowledgment. I think the idea off the spring off from Take a Break is good but unfortunately more thought and time should have gone into the magazine. I hope that you yourselves ... more

    I have a fair bit of knowledge of this magazine .Not because i buy it ,because i'm a guy but because my mother buys it and i like to read any magazine while im at her house!You might think this is sad but i do like this magazine for many reasons. Is very informative to the male population,for example i find it gives me inside knowledge on the way women think,what they like/dislike ..etc..Therefore all this knowledge i have obtained during my lazy sundays at my moms house reading take a break that i may have actually learned something to maybe improve future relationships.haha.     I was recently given a reading and it will be appearing in the July issue. I was very pleased with the reading and animals from my past came through with messages. One thing puzzled me and that was the black and white collie. I later remembered that a good friend lost her old dog last year and guess what breed and colour he was. I still hear my little Zac and i feel him around me often. The guilt that i felt was replaced with even more love for my little terror. Thanks to everyone whgo works on this fab mag ... more

    Being interested in this sort of stuff I regularly buy this magazine. The real life stories are mostly enjoyable if not sometimes a little far fetched by any circumstance. Each month ex-detective and psychic Kevin Wade investigates an unsolved mystery from years ago, for example what happened to Lord Lucan, and various unsolved murders and suspicious deaths. There are usually plenty of articles relating to spellworking which are ideal for beginners and more experienced 'witches'. Medium, Mandy Masters has a regular feature too, giving in depth readings to readers who contact her. There are ... more
