    This company, TalkMobile is disgraceful. I’ve had problems throughout the year and I am here to talk about my experience with Talk Mobile. I am from the U.S. that lived in Birmingham, U.K. for one year, from March 2011 to March 2012. I bought a 20 quid a month, one year plan from Car Phone Warehouse in the Bull Ring because it was perfect for the time period I was there and they even threw in a free android to seal the deal.     I signed up for Talk Mobile's SIMple Talker sim only plan on the 24th August. It was by far the cheapest 30-day sim contract around, and for just £10 a month it came with 300 minute and 300 texts, a much better deal than any other network can provide. I'll start with the good stuff. Signing up in the Carphone Warehouse was easy and pleasant, I had no problem switching networks and all worked fine. Their phone customer service is fantastic, I was able to get through to an agent in literally seconds and she was very polite. All worked rather nicely. Then I got my first bill through.     talk mobile seemed cheap and used Vodaphone so I changed to talkmobile from orange. Then...... They charged extra for voicemail! so I changed to another of their tarrifs... at a cost! they then asked for a £100 deposit for international roaming!- I gave it as i was going on holiday and was desperate. I have never been aslked for this by any other network. They then asked for additional £50 deposit to free up internet browsing.... it would not let me sign an online petition! this would have made a total of £150 deposit help for 6 months.     After getting my phone bill in January 2013, I noticed that I was being charged £64 instead of £7.50, I called Talk Mobile to see why & they informed me that a call was made in December 2012 to a PPI Company at £2 per minute, (56.50 for 1 call!!) I refuted making any such call & looked on my log list & could not find the number that they quoted on any day the previous month. I have never called any PPI Company!!     Having spotted Talkmobile's cheap tariffs and found out they use the Vodafone network I thought to myself - 'This seems like a good idea'... AND IT WAS...!!! IF I HAD WANTED TO DEVOLVE AND NOT ACTUALLY HAVE ANY SERVICE ON MY MOBILE....!!!!!!! Five minutes after putting the Talkmobile SIM into my smartfone I discovered I had no data connection or a weak data connection. Hmm, maybe its because I'm inside - so I went outside - No thats not it - no data outside. Then I tried to make a phonecall and it worked - until I went into a shop and then it started to cut out.     My wife has a SIM only deal with talk mobile, She has put a credit limit of £10 over and above the £8 per month charge. We have just received a bill of £808, that is right £808!. This extra charge has occurred overnight on the 25th Sept night. It appears that data was downloaded on the phone via the network, on that night, while we were at home. The phone is connected to the wi-fi at home, so this is not possible. Besides, what was the point of having a credit limit if it was not going to stop usage of the phone when the limit was exceeded?     Signed contract, same day people I called said I was pressing numbers as I talked,went back to carphone warehouse twice they said "nowt wrong wi it mate" so I paid for a phone I could not use for two years.I will not use them again !Tried to cancel contract early on carphone warehouse said its legal and binding you cant get out of it.Called Talk mobile they said call carphone warehouse, so i went back and forth and got no where fast.     I bought Talk Mobile's monthly contract on 27th May 2011 from E2save sales, for some reason I couldn’t give them PAC at time of purchase. When I got my PAC code, I contacted Talk Mobile Customer services 5888. They advised me that since I haven’t given PAC at the point of purchase, I will have to return the phone at local Carphone warehouse and re-order it there so that I can use my PAC for porting existing number.     It certainly looked like the best deal. I ordered smartphone and 24 month contract @ £18pm but 10 days later was still waiting. They let me know there was a back-log but failed to inform me that they wanted a £100 deposit. I had to contact them to discover this, and they said it was following a credit check from Experian. I checked with Experian and I have an excellent rating. They also confirmed that Talk Mobile had NOT contacted them for a credit check. Obviously just a reason to hold some of my cash and, after consideration, not worth the £2/month saving i would be making over other offers ... more

    I purchased my 1st touch phone on contract from carphone warehouse seamed great price £12 per month from the start I had problems with my wildfire s ,it stopped loading up any info on apps, so took it into carphone they had to send of for repair, comes back nearly 2 weeks later and seamed to work ok , a few weeks go by, and Im contacted by a friend on my land line asking me why my mobile is truned off , well i looked and it says no signal after my conversation i kept on looking at my mobile to see if i have signal and more times than not I dont have a signal or no bars or most 1 bar ... phone ... more
