I came across Tammy Girl quite by accident one day while I was shopping in Nottingham with my daughter. I'd gone into Etam to look for something for myself and noticed the sign pointing upstairs - it said 'Tammy Girl'. I went upstairs with my daughter to take a look around and immediately she shot round the shop like a rocket shouting look at this mummy at every item she came across. The shop itself was very bright and airy - very well lit in fact. ...

Tammy Girl is the younger version of Etam, the women's high-street fashion shop. The racks are put quite close together so you often find yourself knocking clothes off the racks and then people don't pick them up and everyone walks over them! Tammy Girls range of clothes can be found at most branches of Etam. Catering for 4 year olds upto 15/16 year olds. They offer cute and trendy fashion for the little ones to teenage clubbing trendy outfits. They sell tights and underwear (and no they're not your usual boring first bra types either.) Tammy Girl is one of my favourite shops. It is a girls clothing shop, my local ones do ages 7-16. It is the little sister of woman's shop Etam, and can normally be found in or upstairs from an Etam. PROS: It stocks a nice range of clothes, such as trousers, skirts, t-shirts, zip-up tops, and accesories like bags, socks, jewellery and underwear. Tammy has now joined with BHS after being an individual shop. It's a girls clothing range for the ages of 7-16 years. All of the clothing is of a good price. The clothes also aren't as classy and now I think they are either cheap and childish looknig or just tarty. Tammy is a shop that sells clothes for girls ages about 3- 15!! Although I know someone who's 13, skinny and doesnt fit into size 13 clothes! But fits into size 14/15!! They expect us to be stick thin, which can put some girls confidence down making them think they are fat. The clothes are often greebo/goth like, e.g. pinks, blacks, goth earrings/chokers, combat trousers. Changing rooms are grim with chewing gum and curtains that don't close properly. ...
...racks of clothing aren't spaced out enough, so you have to squeeze round them. HOWEVER, they do have good quality clothing, which last a fairly good time. And you can get round the changing room issue by trying on clothes at home instead if you wanted. It has everything a fashionably able girls, and many choices in everything. Everything fits well, and is at a very resonable price. My 9 year old daughter, Crystallea, loves the jeans best. At £20, why not treat her monthly, if not weekly? Long queues are never a problem, as the amount of staff is always huge. The only problem is it's so popular, and everyone in the queue buys so much! The clothes in Tammy are well made and you can see they have been designed with teenagers in mind. The size range is good as larger girls are able to shop in Tammy as well as a range for younger girls called e.j.c which sells clothes from the age of 3.
