A review on regular Orange Tango, they do a diet version as well. I was lured to go into Instore again this week. By lured I mean that my son dragged me in because of the offers on the drinks! Anyway, The Tango orange caught my eye. I usually go for the apple, but I'll try anything once (Well, perhaps not anything!). I haven't actually had one of these for several years and I began to wonder why. Was because I wasn't impressed? I couldn't remember so decided to find out. A Few Facts Tango was launched by Corona Soft Drinks in 1950. It differed from their other drinks because it had real fruit ... more

Advantages Advantages Partially made with real oranges

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can’t get it everywhere

Menacing its way from the shelf is the predominantly black plastic bottle of Tango. The £1.19 label on the two litre size instantly attracts my attention, since most similar drinks of this volume are priced around the £1.50 mark. So what is Tango? It is a carbonated fruit drink, in this instance in its orange variety. It even has 8% real orange fruit inside, representing a vitamin C intake for everyone participating in the consumption of a bottle. Now maybe it’s just me, but Tango seems to have a very Nineties feel to it. Ever since the “you know when you’ve been ... more

Advantages Advantages Funky can design. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as nice as I hoped it would be. Saccharin aftertaste.

…both literally and figuratively. You see, I am just a wee way away from orange. And, here in front of me is a can of TANGO – and ‘you know when you’ve been Banquoed’ – oops, I meant ‘Tangoed’. (Joke – when I was studying Macbeth in university, second time around, I was discussing the play with a friend, and we were talking about Banquo’s ghost…and my friend came up with that line. We were in stitches. But again, I digress). Understand, I don’t usually drink Tango. I don’t really like orange soda. But, in the name of ... more

4 Stars You Know When You've Not Been Tangoed! Review with images 11/12/2004

Advantages Advantages Tastes very nice, gives your tongue a tingling sensation when you drink it, very fizzy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not very good for you, can be expensive in some place

~Introduction~ As some of you may or may not know, I recently posted a review of the Tango television advertisements, which I think went down pretty well. I have chosen to review orange Tango, after buying a bottle of it yesterday, for the first time in a long while. I had just had an hour of badminton for my PE lesson at school and I was pretty thirsty afterwards. So, money in hand I marched up to the vending machine to find something of a product overhaul. The drinks on offer had changed, from Coke and Fanta to Pepsi and Tango. Having memories of Apple Tango tasting like cider and being ... more

Yippee....!!! I've been tango'ed and what a more fitting way to celebrate this momentous occasion than by writing an op on the legendary drink itself. I am sure you are aware of the contraversial advertizing campaign that brought Tango to the tip of everyone's tongues...Who can forget that bright orange guy in the rather large orange nappy running around the streets slapping unsuspecting tango drinkers around the face. Of course there was an uproar as hundreds of mothers started hiding in ther houses as irate parents banged on the door to complain that little Jimmy had just Tango'ed the girl ... more

Ok, so we know the adverts. A bloke running around the streets, totally orange, only one person can see him, and you know when he's been tangoed... cos he gets a massive kiss on the lips.... Nice. LOL. Now me, if that was someone like...........Jo Guest. Then i would be there with me arms wide opened LOL. But if that bloke ever came up to me, i would not look like i was totally shocked, i would be legging it down the street yelling as loud as i could LOL. But you know that this advert sells this to you for the first time you want to buy one, because it makes you laugh, and you think shall i ... more

Advantages Advantages UM...let me think about that.... maybe the ads, yes the adverts are pretty good!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Taste's minging!!

Well I love my fizzy pop and when it’s hot I tend to leave the tea and coffee alone for a bit. I usually buy coke or diet coke with lemon (thanks Mel) but these weren’t available in the shop I was in so I opted for a bottle of Tango. Advertising works on me every time and when I saw that bottle sitting in the cold refrigerator all on it’s lonesome (apart from all the other bottles in there to keep it company) I just had to buy it. Seeing the bottle conjured up images of the Tango adverts on TV and it doesn’t matter how many times I have seen them they still make me smile. “Wipe me dry, that’s ... more

    Advantages Advantages Tasty

Disadvantages Disadvantages Probably not as good as Fanta...

Kids today will probably think of Tango as a poor man's Fanta. I remember a time when it ruled supreme, with adverts of men in orange body suits going round slapping people. It was a wonderful time. But has the orange stuff stood the test of time? Can it compete with the Fanta market? It sprung up controversy recently when it's advertising slogan was "Tango With Added Tango"...nothing untowards there, but as the slogan put the words on top of one another, if you put the first letters of each of the words together then you'll see the problem...see what I mean?! Tango is simply an orange fizzy ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Think of your teeth

You know when you've been tango'd. Lets face it, it's probably one of the most well known ad campaigns in recent memory, and Tango is a brand I love that stands well up against lets be true here - the GIANTS that are Coca Cola. I wouldn't be surprised if Tango have been given the opportunity to sell out on more than one occassion, but stay true to what they love, and that is fizzy drinks. This review in particular is for the orange flavoured Tango drink, so let it commence. For the purposes of this review I've got a 1.5 litre bottle of Tango Orange, although as you would expect it comes in all ... more

Advantages Advantages tastes great, good value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages -

I have been stocking up on drinks in the house lately as I hate going to the fridge and there never being anything good to drink. I love a fizzy orange drink more than anything and as much as I love Fanta, Tango seems to be on offer a lot more and it does have a really nice taste. Home Bargains also sell single cans of these for a really good price too which is worth it to buy a few of these. I have loved Tango for ages and although they have done a number of varieties of flavour, nothing beats the original orange. PACKAGING The cans have a really bold and eye catching design on them as they ... more
