The 214, with its solid-sapele body, Sitka spruce top, and ebony fretboard and bridge, makes the solid-wood Taylor experience more accessible than ever. Scalloped bracing delivers... more...the Taylor steel-string tone, and black fiber binding, dot inlays, and wood fiber rosette contribute to a smart appearance, all protected by a hardshell case. A modestly priced, solid-wood guitar with tonal qualities and resonance approaching that of a premium acoustic guitar an incredible value. In the 200 Series, solid sapele adds depth to the sparkle of a Sitka top, filling in a full range of tonal possibilities. Our Grand Auditorium combines the width and depth of a Dreadnought with a narrower waist. Its sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming. A durable varnish finish offers protection, good looks, and a smooth feel to the touch.
