Advantages: Energy efficient, very fast and filtered water Disadvantages: Maybe the price, water cools down quite fast, but it could be me!!
The Tefal QuickCup is somethig quite like no other. It offers what you want from a kettle, but in the sort of time you want - 3 seconds!
It's very handy if you're a little short on time or fancy a quick brew. Its clever system is designed to measure out a 200ml cup of hot water at the touch of a button, and poured in a very short space of time. Its small and so doesnt take up much space on the kitchen work surface, and has a very appealing design ...

Advantages: Fast, economical to use Disadvantages: Noisey, doesn't boil properly.
The Tefal Quickcup is not a kettle. It has been advertised as a fast boiling kettle but the fact is that it never boils.
This need not be a problem unless you are 'dyed in the wool' tea brewer who has to have the water boiling and the pot warmed in order to enjoy your cuppa. If this is you, then this water heater is not for you.
The water is just off the boil when it spurts out of the nozzle on the top and just the right amount to fill a mug ...

Advantages: Warm water in 3 secs, energy saving Disadvantages: Doesn't boil water
The Tefal Quick Cup is a type of kettle, but instead of boiling a whole kettle of water to make a single cup of tea, the Quick Cup heats only the amount of water required, therefore saving energy. Tefal claims that a cup of hot water takes only 3 seconds and I was sceptical at first, but its true.
The machine itself is mainly black with a stainless steel control panel on top, and has 2300w of power. The machine is made from high quality plastic, ...

Advantages: Time & energy saving Disadvantages: Seems to be faults with this product, a little noisy
The Tefal Quick Cup is basically a water dispenser from which you can get filtered hot or ambient water in just 3 seconds with the touch of a button. It consists of a clear(ish) water tank with a black front and a brushed stainless steel top (control panel) with the water outlet underneath. The idea of this appliance is to save money and time as only the amount of water required for one cup is heated at a time, and is done so really quickly. It is ...

Advantages: Energy efficient, very quick & convenient Disadvantages: Buy costly filters regularly, not as hot as a kettle, noisy!
Bought this kettle for my husband who not only enjoys regular cups of coffee but is a sucker for a new product!
The first thing that struck me was the price, not the cheapest thing around and definitely more than I had expected.
Setting up was easy although was also disappointed to find that no extra filters were supplied which considering you have to chnage it every 5/6 weeks I would have expected one extra before the expense of buying new filters ...

Advantages: Quick, very efficient, easy to clean, in the long-term saves you money Disadvantages: would be nice if there was a cup/mug size selection, if used, filters not cheap.
Great efficiency, as the only tea drinker in the household, this product is extremely efficient - hot water in only 3 seconds - it does puff & blow a bit (similar to the noises made on Red Mountain coffee adverts!).
Tefal claims energy saving up to 65% , compared to a standard kettle.
I work shifts and often come in from work, put the kettle on and then wander off distracted, waiting for it to boil, frequently I would come back to the kettle ...

...and obvious.
We contacted Tefal this time and they said they do not know of this problem!!!! They were aware of the other issues such as the spluttering and splashing. Yes we had experienced this but the pluses out ways this so we stuck with it.
They encouraged us to try again so we dutifully went on to Number 4. Yes you guessed it. POP and rubbish heat of water.
We are exceedingly disappointed and concerned that we are not the only people ...

Advantages: Ideal for warm water and tea Disadvantages: low capacity, noisy
Bought this dispenser for my mother in law who loves new kitchen appliances and practically buys everything in the market ( although most of it goes to the attic after a couple of days), but not this one. They enjoy their water luke warm, so it saves them the hassle of putting a glass in the microwave every now and then. Also, love its sleak design and look.
Its also great for making teas and coffees, which gets ready at the pop of a button. Its a ...

...the water that you use. Tefal state a saving of 65% electricity over a kettle.
You are able to set the amount of water dispensed so that it fills your cup exactly.
In addition to this there is a water filter and you can dispense cold water, although this isn't chilled and so there is little point to this function.
I have been most impressed with this, especially when we have had a stream of workmen demanding hot drinks through the house. ...

Advantages: Fast, user and Environmentally friendly. Safer with kids about. Disadvantages: Possible filter life span dependant on hardwater area.
Hi bought this for the wife's birthday, yes I know, you don't have to tell me.
Anyway the sad truth its great, not 3 seconds great, but around 20 -25 seconds with our preferred size mugs for a nearly instant tea or coffee.
Heard a rumour that it doesn't reach boiling point, how I prefer my tea, but its close enough, and yes we have checked it being 98.
Simple to set up, including filter installation, a quick system boil rinse through and off you ...

Advantages: Quick and stylish. Disadvantages: Badly made.
Thought this would be a revoloution, but alas, it wasn't to be! We saw this being advertised on television on one of the shopping channels after we bought ours and didn't play up at all like ours did, ours made SOO much noise it was silly and it would also vibrate an awful lot. The cool function also wasn't cool, it was luke warm which is not what you want if you are expecting cold water! The water capacity is the same (maybe a little less) as an ...

Advantages: Cheaper and faster than a kettle Disadvantages: Water does not come out boiling
I bought one of these as my house mates drink endless cups of coffee and constantly fill the kettle to do so. Since getting it the kettle has fallen into disuse.
This fairly small appliance heats about a cup full of water at a time so not only is it quicker it also uses less energy (the claim is about 66% less) so you save money and lower your carbon foot print slightly. It's easy to use just press the red button and it delivers the hot water in ...

Advantages: Very nearly Boiling, Stylish, Very Quick, Energy efficient Disadvantages: Small water tank, Filter replacements are still £5 (you don't need them however)
This was purchased as a replacement for my kettle and what a great tool it is. I have seen a lot of reviews with people moaning about it not being hot ect, but mine is near as makes no difference boiling still after two months. It is not a one trick pony either it does boiling water very quickly, and also chilled filtered water. There are no major downsides to this product other than it is quite loud when pouring water (but no louder than a kettle ...
