Advantages: Energy efficient, very quick & convenient
Disadvantages: Buy costly filters regularly, not as hot as a kettle, noisy!

Bought this kettle for my husband who not only enjoys regular cups of coffee but is a sucker for a new product! The first thing that struck me was the price, not the cheapest thing around and definitely more than I had expected. Setting up was easy although was also disappointed to find that no extra filters were supplied which considering you have to chnage it every 5/6 weeks I would have expected one extra before the expense of buying new filters ... Great efficiency, as the only tea drinker in the household, this product is extremely efficient - hot water in only 3 seconds - it does puff & blow a bit (similar to the noises made on Red Mountain coffee adverts!). Tefal claims energy saving up to 65% , compared to a standard kettle. ...and obvious. We contacted Tefal this time and they said they do not know of this problem!!!! They were aware of the other issues such as the spluttering and splashing. Yes we had experienced this but the pluses out ways this so we stuck with it. They encouraged us to try again so we dutifully went on to Number 4. Yes you guessed it. POP and rubbish heat of water. ...ie no hot water called tefal and they said was the packaging damaged? and was advised to take it back to where i purchased . I have now had my second one for over two weeks no damage to the packaging and works perectly This is ideal if you are power concious andcant wait for the kettle. ... Read review

Bought this dispenser for my mother in law who loves new kitchen appliances and practically buys everything in the market ( although most of it goes to the attic after a couple of days), but not this one.They enjoy their water luke warm, so it saves them the hassle of putting a glass in the microwave every now and then. ...the water that you use. Tefal state a saving of 65% electricity over a kettle. You are able to set the amount of water dispensed so that it fills your cup exactly. In addition to this there is a water filter and you can dispense cold water, although this isn't chilled and so there is little point to this function. ...stopped heating but having contacted Tefal they have agreed a full replacment without any argument. I have heard that the early units did have reliability issues but that these are now sorted so I am hopeful that the new one will be longer lived ... Read review

Hi bought this for the wife's birthday, yes I know, you don't have to tell me. Anyway the sad truth its great, not 3 seconds great, but around 20 -25 seconds with our preferred size mugs for a nearly instant tea or coffee. Heard a rumour that it doesn't reach boiling point, how I prefer my tea, but its close enough, and yes we have checked it being 98. Thought this would be a revoloution, but alas, it wasn't to be! We saw this being advertised on television on one of the shopping channels after we bought ours and didn't play up at all like ours did, ours made SOO much noise it was silly and it would also vibrate an awful lot. Advantages: Cheaper and faster than a kettle
Disadvantages: Water does not come out boiling

I bought one of these as my house mates drink endless cups of coffee and constantly fill the kettle to do so. Since getting it the kettle has fallen into disuse. This fairly small appliance heats about a cup full of water at a time so not only is it quicker it also uses less energy (the claim is about 66% less) so you save money and lower your carbon foot print slightly. Disadvantages: Small water tank, Filter replacements are still £5 (you don't need them however)

This was purchased as a replacement for my kettle and what a great tool it is. I have seen a lot of reviews with people moaning about it not being hot ect, but mine is near as makes no difference boiling still after two months.It is not a one trick pony either it does boiling water very quickly, and also chilled filtered water.
