...recognise this model as the Tefal Ultraglide Diffusion 80. As we have no picture at present, the iron is constructed of white plastic with contrasting jade green transluscent water tank, filler and anti calcification valve. (quite an eyecatcher!)
The soleplate appears to be a cross between coated metal and ceramic.

Advantages: Cheap and chearful Disadvantages: A bit too lightweight
...remember my Mum having a Tefal when I still lived at home and liked the non stick base that they have and was quite impressed with her iron so went for this one.
As I mentioned the base coating is vey good and it has quite an impressive steam for such a small iron - it doesn't drop any water. I've not had the iron for long enough to know whether the anti scale system works but our water is so hard I don't think it has much chance!!
