Advantages Advantages An effective and easy way to save money.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Why didn't I discover this company sooner?

There's no such thing as a free lunch, but why pay more for something than you have to? I discovered Telecomplus when a friend told me how much he was paying for the phone calls he was making and I was genuinely shocked! When I sat down and compared the cost of a call with T+ against what BT were charging me, I realised that instead of paying £120 a quarter, it would be around £80. So what's the catch? Well, after searching the internet and checking various reviews like those on 'Ciao' I decided to take the plunge and give Telecomplus a try. It's now 12 months later and I feel that I can ... more

Advantages Advantages more than just good mobile

    Disadvantages Disadvantages minor details

Well where to begin.... My huband and I have had a variety of mobiles on prepay and pay as you go,with warying amounts of sucsess.Contracts have never left us feeling very happy, with high bills and high commitments of one sort or another and usually not alot of customer service if phones go wrong. Then one day we came across telecom plus..and thought we would give it a try...having been a little fed up with running out of credits at the wrong moments on our pay as you go,not to mention expensive call rates. There are just so many aspects to telecom plus it is hard to say where to start, but ... more

    Advantages Advantages Excellent value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Telecom plus retain title with subsidized mobile phones

I cannot promise that this opinion will be unbiased, but I will try and steer clear of any wild claims and try to present the facts. Telecom plus' Mobile plus tariff is, in my opinion, excellent value for those who actually use their phone. In other words, if you want a mobile to keep for emergencies then I suggest you get a pre-pay mobile phone deal. Should you actually want to use your phone more than once in a while then Mobile plus could certainly be for you. You can choose from various phones (subsidized or non-sunsidized). The differences between the two are that with the subsidised ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheaper gas and electricity etc. on ONE bill, with ONE payment going out each month

Disadvantages Disadvantages Unfortunately they don't cover water bills!

A few months ago my wife changed our gas and electricity over to Scottish Power, being assured by the salesman at the front door, that we would save money. As it turned out, the bills we received subsequently were the greatest I've ever seen over the nine years I've lived there. By good fortune, we had a flyer drop through our front door a couple of days after the first bills from Scottish Power arrived, promoting the services of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club (the trading name of Telecom Plus). Because I was annoyed with the so called "Cheaper Bills" I'd had, I went online to the website ... more

Advantages Advantages Save on more than just youe phone bill

Disadvantages Disadvantages not much comfort for heavy texters

I have been a Telecom Plus customer for three years now, and use many of their utility services. I can also comment on their customer service. SMART BOX (Piggy Shaped - Like a piggy bank for saving money) Free of charge, delivered by post, rental charge £1.76 per month (waived if you have one of their mobiles too). This device simply plugs into the phone socket and saves me approx. 21% (measured over a 12 month period) on my Telewest Cable line. (I believe the savings are even greater if used with BT). There is no PIN to remember, you always get through and the quality of line is undiminished ... more

Advantages Advantages SAVES YOU LOTS AND CAN HELP YOU EARN AS WELL

Disadvantages Disadvantages U NEED TO FIND SOMEONE LIKE ME TO JOIN

Hey you lot My Second ever review Here goes. Most of you will know that Telecom plus are a utilities company that never advertises, and so can pass massive savings onto the consumer, people like you and me. The company offers land line rental and calls (bt), cheap calls on cable phones, broadband, mobiles, UK cheapest gas and electric, holiday insurance, online shopping. A lot of you wont know we were voted Europes fastest growing company in 2004, and were nominated for the Financail times company of the year award. Also that we are floated on the stock market. Also that the company is doing a ... more

Advantages Advantages Best value for money on all services

Disadvantages Disadvantages None at the present time

I have only been with Telecom Plus for seven months and already I have saved a total of £325.92p. Before I came over to Telecom Plus I was paying another company £151 per month just for Telephone, Gas and Electric, with Telecom Plus I have Telephone, Gas, Electric, a Freephone number, a mobile and I have bought a computer and I am on the net every day. All these services and I have still saved £325.92p. I still have to pay BT for the line rental for the phone but since I connected Telecom Plus's 'piggy'(a box in the shape of a pig) to my line ALL my calls and internet connections go through ... more

Advantages Advantages Great customer service and guidance from your local rep

Disadvantages Disadvantages As far as I know you can only pay by direct debit

I first got a mobile phone last year using the one2one prepay serivce, which I thought very reasonable, and adequate for my basic need. I was spending about £15 per month on their standard tariff (30p/min for 2mins of each day thereafter 5p/min.) When I was told about telecom plus by a relative, I didn't think that I would get good enough value because in my opinon I would have to cope with a line rental and my calls. Enter Mobile Extra, upon being told about this service, I was finnally talked into it and got a phone from them! I found out that the promises of the company were true! My ... more

Advantages Advantages Free installation and cheaper call charges

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only seems to cater for those with a BT phone line

I was talking, a few months ago, to a friend of mine and complaining about my phone bill - my better half's family live in Wiltshire (we live in Warwickshire) and she uses the phone a lot! - anyway, he asked me if I'd tried the free service from Telecom Plus. I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about, so next day I went on the Internet and looked them up. They're a British company that offers Gas and Electric services as well as mobile phone services and telephone services. I was only interested in the telephone service so I was quite happy that the route I took to the site placed me ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not enough distributors to introduce more people to the services

I wanted to try out a mobile, the shops all asked me how much use would it get, how would I know never having owned one. My brother mentioned T+ and a quick web search found a distributor. I wasn't ttold about the fixed line savings as well! The thought of having two phones and still saving money swung it for me. It dawned on me that if I hadn't heard of the company how many others hadn't, so I became a distributor, I have introduced well over 50 people to the services and 98% of them are still on it and introducing their friends to me. Some might find it a negative that the equipment is sent ... more
