I found that tesco weren't too concerned about simple things phone users love such as unlimited texts, a certain amount of free minutes, internet usage et cetera, but that they preffered to bump their prices up a ridiculous amount and give away products such as sat navs and laptops. I believe this was an attempt to gain more customers ... ...have completely missed the point at what phones are all about and used for. As for the navigation, layout and content of the page I found it to be unattractive, too busy and difficult to use, there were too many things going on at once and it was hard to see the best deal from the worst. All the numbers and price plans were listed with no seperation making the site seem confusing. If I wasn't needing to gain a range of specifically tesco price plans ...

...putting me off. I found Tescocontractmobilephones.com by accident and liked the deals they were offering. based on the fact that they were Tesco I ordered a Nokia 5800 on O2 with a free iPod Nano and £25 cash back.
The website will let you search on all the deals on offer by phone, network etc. and will also let you 'build' your own deal to suit and gives you a very good choice of gifts. The T&C's are a little confusing in respect of the free gifts ... ...to an extent of being inconvenient. For the record they state that free gifts are dispatched with the phone and cash back is paid into your bank account after 3 months.
So the phone was ordered on 19th July in the evening and going by there timetable I expected this to be delivered on Monday. There were plenty of emails coming from them to confirm the order and also to inform me that I had been approved for the contract after a credit check. The ...

Quick review of TescoContractMobilePhones.com
Took them 3 days to inform me that my chosen model was no longer in stock, although in all fairness they did upgrade the phone to the next model up at no additional cost. However, they provide conflicting information on the website. One T&Cs states that gifts are despatched with the phone, another states 28 days; subject to completing a claim certificate and providing 2 forms of ID! My contract deal arrived with no documentation nor claim certificate, leaving me to find out (via contacting customer 'care') that they actually operate the latter gift system. As I write this I am still no closer to getting the 'free gift' I'm entitled to, leaving me with the impression this is an amateur operation at best! ...
