Warning, a sensitive subject about adult problems, not for the squeamish. A topic, which is not often, discussed, adult hygiene. Yet there are sections of the population who need help with personal hygiene; sick or the disabled, the elderly, people with stomach problems and cystitis sufferers. I suffer myself with Irritable Bowel Syndrome; a bad attack can cause ten to twenty trips to the loo each day, causing a sore bottom and feeling unclean, with the risk of cystitis, as all women know is agonising. Over the years, I have tried lots of baby wipes, and always have some in my bathroom. A few ... more

I have always used baby wipes for almost everything-bums, hands, faces and sometimes even feet. And I don't mean my own, I'm talking about babies. But, with my son's illness, I found that I was going through a lot more baby wipes than usual. As I have always bought the top brands, I was throwing away good money and I knew it. So, the plan was to tighten the purse strings a little. I wouldn't buy the cheapest of the cheap-I think they may be a good price but you need to use more to get the desired effect. In Tesco, I saw the rather pretty pack of Tesco Scented Ultra Soft Cloth Wipes (not the ... more

Yup … Jammy talks dirty in an op! Well … actually, she talks about how to clean the dirt up … but it is not nearly as catchy is it? Dirty hands, messy faces and pooey bums! We have all been there at one point in our lives haven’t we? Sure we were all helpless babes once, squishing poo in our nappies, attempting to feed ourselves making a right mess on our faces, and sticking our hands in whatever we can, not caring about the outcome! Well, us parents of young sproglets are still there. Nope … we don’t still squish poo in our nappies, but we do have to deal ... more

Tesco Baby Wipes When it comes to choosing baby products I always buy the brands that I know and trust. For baby wipes I usually buy either Pampers or Johnson's, but a few months ago this all changed when I was at Tesco doing my normal grocery shopping. I was running low of wipes so I went over to the baby department and headed to where my usual packets were. I saw a big sign saying Buy One Get One Free on the shelf, but all the packets wre gone. Apart from one lonely little one. Great!! What do I do now? It was raining outside and I didn't fancy trekking all the way up the road to Boots and ... more

Advantages Advantages Handy Dispensing Pack, Value for Money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Inferior Quality to my Favourite Brand

I started using Tesco My Baby's Ultra Soft Wipes when my son was first born back in 2005. At the time they were sold in triple packs for £2.99 each though now they're sold individually for £1.09 each and regularly put on offer at 3 for £3. Each pack contains 80 wipes which is a couple of wipes more than standard premium brand packs usually hold. I noticed that my baby often had a slightly pink tinge to his bottom when I used these however I didn't actually realise he was having a small reaction to them until I tried a wipe that left him nice and peachy a few months later. Considering that ... more

I used to find some cheap and extra good quality baby wipes abroad and stocked up but once every stock ends... If you are curious it was Drogerie Markt's own brand baby wipes for sensitive skin. I had to search another brand of baby wipes and I tested a lot when finally I found one that was good enough for my kids. They often have nappy rush and some baby wipes irritate their skin that is why I am so choosy. The other thing I take into the consideration is the thickness of the wipes. I don't really like when the stuff I clean goes on my hands as the wipe is so thin that I can hardly clean ... more

Well here i am again writing a review about a baby wipe. I think I've written about 4 or 5 now which may seem a big excessive but like I have pointed out in my other reviews there are differences between the various brands of wipes and it's these differences which make me either go back to buy more or steer well clear. You'd never really think that a baby wipe could be different from another brand but they do differ in terms of how easy it is to open/reseal the packet, how moist the wipes are, how soft they are, how thick they are. These wipes come in a plastic packet which is pale blue. It's ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Value, Good Performance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as wet as I would like personally

I've been recently enjoying the freedom I now have since my daughter's problematic skin has begun to settle down. She's almost two and we have been tied to certain products since she arrived due to her likelihood to come out in a rash at the slightest new ingredient. Baby wipes were something that we never really explored. I use them so often that I just stuck with the ones that I knew she would get along with. Simple were the best brand for her bottom. This week I stocked up at Tesco, and I picked up a packet of 'Tesco My Baby's Ultra soft cloth wipes' There are 80 in a packet for 89p so they ... more

I didn't buy these, Granny did. She was so excited that she had brought something for her little grandson and at the fact she was saving us some money. She brought them as they were buy one get one free( I think my living with her has rubbed off!). I think they are about £2.00 a pack. The best thing about these wipes is the packaging. They come in a purple packet with light purple areas for the writing. They also have that great pop up opening and not that stupid sticky one that loses its stick the first time you open it. In each pack there are eighty wipes. Tescos wipes are said to help ... more

Picture the scene…My 10 month old son, sat in his high-chair, food is scattered everywhere (typical bloke) his face and hands are a rather nice shade of orange from eating Spaghetti Bolognese and so am I, what do you do??? Well, rather than calling in an industrial cleaner, I always have a packet of Baby Wipes to hand…these are a blessing in disguise. As many readers of my reviews will know, I'm an avid bargain hunter, especially when it comes to the food/household shopping as I'm generally on a limited budget and as much as I do not like getting the cheap stuff when it comes to my son, some ... more
