Advantages Advantages Cheap, discreet and convenient to buy with shopping

Disadvantages Disadvantages Leak a bit if you have a good let down whilst feeding.

I gave birth to my daughter Isabelle in November and have breast fed ever since. I am loving every minute of it apart from the leaks (and the silly bras!) I want a pad which doesn't restrict what I wear too much, since the bras do that enough already! These pads come in packs of 40 (£2.29) and 80 (£3.99) so they are well priced compared to other brands and since I shop in tescos they just go on my weekly shop. I find I need just under 80 a week. They come in a nice discreet pink cardboard box which doesn't look hideous in the bath room unlike some of the bigger boxes with breasts on (which my ... more

Advantages Advantages absorbant as any others

    Disadvantages Disadvantages choking hazzard

i have only used half of a box of these pads and was very dissapointed. they like some other brands can stick to your nipples and are uncomfortable to remove. they are absorbant so do the job but the most horrorfying thing....... on two occasions i found off cuts of the product, the first time it was on my breast and i found it as i was getting changed the second i found a bit on my babies chin whilst feeding him! it must have stuck to my breast whilst wearing them and transfered during feeding. serious choking risk!!!! i returned the product yesterday and filed a report which tesco said they ... more

Advantages Advantages lightweight, discreet and comfortable

Disadvantages Disadvantages not too good on heavy leakage

Having had four children but only breast fed the later two I first started using Tescos breast pads about 2 and a half years ago and it seems like I have constantly had one stuck to me since! I like them because they're light, not bulky and after a few minutes they mould to your own shape..In my local store they come in boxes of forty or 100 and they are very reasonably priced at £2.85 for the forty and I think it's about four pound for the 100s(not too sure as have only ever bought the fortys). Like most new mothers I did get quite sore in the first few weeks, probably a bit more so as both ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap, easy to buy with weekly shop

Disadvantages Disadvantages small in diameter but bulky and move around

These Tesco breast pads are fairly cheap and easy to buy as you can get them along with your weekly shop but were not the best I have tried. The have a fairly small diameter which means that if they move around, which they do being a flat pad, then it is likely that they will move off the nipple area altogether and therefore be useless. There is a small indentation for the nipple which helps a little but the most effective pads I have tried have been slightly conical in shape - these pads are flat. The pads are quite fat which means they show if you have a tight top on. Not sure about the ... more

Advantages Advantages you can put them in a small bag and take them out with you

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

When my second child was born i decided i would give breast feeding another go as i only fed my 1st child for 2 weeks as it was so painfull. I looked around and tried different breast pads and found that the tesco brand was the best for me. They are about £3.00 for a box of 80. Now i used to leak alot as i produced a lot of milk and at 1 time i was feeding every hour so i really need these pads. They are very soft and comfortable, they fit around your breast and they don't move around in your bra, they are absorbent but you must change them every few hours to stop you from getting sore and the ... more

    Advantages Advantages comfortable feel

Disadvantages Disadvantages leaked very babdly, too small, needed changing too often

Following the birth of my first child, I bought a packet of Tesco disposeable breast pads. I produced a lot od excess milk, and needed pads. The tesco pads although were very comfortable to wear, and did not show through my clothes, let alot of milk leak out. A box of 40 was used up in a few days, which worked out very costly for me. I got fed up with them leaking, so tried some reuseable cotton pads by Aventis, which were a 100 per cent improvement. They still leak occasionally, but hold alot more milk than the tesco disposeable variety. They are also cheaper in the long run, as they can be ... more

    Advantages Advantages slim fitting

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit crackly!

As an avid tesco shopper, I thought I'd try these as they don't seem to sell my other favs, Avent. They do need changing fairly often, but don't seem to leak too badly, if fact I've had no leaks, they just always seem soaked when I come to feed baby, so need changing regularly. The crackly bit is that distinctive rustle of many a disposable breast pad - I don't seem to have this problem with the Avent disposables - perhaps that's why they're so much more exspensive. Apart from the noise they are slim fitting and therefore discreet - the price you pay for this is changing them more often, but ... more

Advantages Advantages good value for your money

Disadvantages Disadvantages can think of any

These breastpads are perfect for a mum to be or new mum. When you are pregnant you may lose a small amount of milk so even if your not planning on breastfeeding its handy to keep a pack in, if you are planning to breastfeed-stock up!!!!!you will need plenty of them. Depending on how much milk you leak these breast pads will need changing every 3-4hours compared to other pads i have tried these are by far the best, they kept me dry all night when you leak a lot of milk, they are great value for money-you can buy them in bulk. they cost about £2.00 for 30. They keep you dry and are very ... more

    Advantages Advantages comfortable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages leaked very quickly

I tried using these breast pads only once. Once was quite enough! Although they felt comfortable, it was not very long before they started to leak. (I don't think that I was producing excessive milk) This meant that although they were one of the cheaper per breast pad than some of the other breast pads on the market, they actually worked out more expensive because they had to be changed more frequently - also more inconvenient if you were in public! You don't want to be caught short when down town and have to dash off to the loos with a pram everytime your pads start to leak. Therefore, I ... more
