I like to have my evenings at home, and being a bus driver this can be tricky to achieve with massively fluctuating shift patterns. Thankfully, I finally got put on permanent early shifts recently, and rising from my pit at 5am is now a daily thing. Introduction If there's one thing about me that I have figured out over the years its that I could never be described as a 'morning' person, it takes a cup of coffee and a couple of cigarettes for me to fully wake up and tackle the day ahead and more than anything else I hate being woken up if I'm in the middle of a deep sleep. A few years back I had a clock/radio-cassette/telephone beside my bed which I used religiously every morning to wake me up. I would wake up each morning to the radio or even my favourite music from cassette tapes if I wished and it served me well for a few years until it broke. My brother recently bought this alarm clock to help him get up in the morning for work. Doing shift work this can sometimes be hard. It is a Tesco Value alarm clock bought for £5.97. It is a basic alarm clock, but has all the necessary features on it. Digital LED display, 24 hour clock, radio function, snooze button and a sleep function. Price and Availability After my old clock radio broke I needed a replacement quickly as I often have to get up early and the alarm on my phone is a little temperamental to say the least. I was doing the shopping in Tesco so decided to just have a quick look at what was on offer. We were saving up for a flat at the time so I didn’t want to spend much and the Tesco CR-106 looked like it would do the job just fine for the time being.
