Advantages: Generally quite safe Disadvantages: Not very close to store on busy days
...my village had an original Tesco store in it ever since I can remember. This is quite a step up from the surrounding villages that are lucky to have a One Stop, but mostly just have nothing. Of course a 20 minute drive could take you to a Morrisons in a village that is trying to recreate the 'groundbreaking' design of my village -- or possibly the quicker option of actually driving into town where there's a choice of many supermarkets. Tesco is all ... ...an absolutely huge Tesco Extra store come the turn of the new millennium. I felt quite privelaged, seeing as I'd never been in a Tesco Extra at this point. This review is not supposed to be about the stores though, but perhaps a more interesting point - because we all know the range that Tesco sells. With a big Tesco store, comes the need for a big carpark and this review is specifically about those Tesco Car Parks and the service that Tesco offer ...

Advantages: good trolley return service Disadvantages: boy racers
I feel that Tesco car parks are average compared to other supermarket car parks as you do not generally get any trouble makers on them or vandalism. The exception to this is on sunday evenings when Tesco's has closed for the week lots of boy racers go onto the car park in their cars and race around like mad men for hours on end, i should know one nearly ran me over once. Apart from this factor though in my eyes everything is good with Tesco's car ...

Advantages: None really Disadvantages: damage, small spaces
...previously worked for a large Tesco store, the parking was always difficult. As staff there is the privilidge of having a staff permit, allowing you to park in the store for as long as you need. (Although you'd still get a parking ticket due to the attendant being an idiot)
The parking spaces are limited and close together (I had alot of damage from other incondsiderate tesco users) the mother and baby sections are wider, but still quite a distance ... ...is one major flaw with Tesco Carpark in Gloucester, this being that the pedestrian corssings are everywhere, meaning a build up of traffic. Although I do understand that pedestrian crossings are needed for the safety aspects, I don't really understand why there are 6 in the space of 100 yards (no wonder this nation are obese!) I would suggest that if you were to visit Tesco in Gloucester that you use the carpark just on the outside of the store, ...
