Advantages Advantages Easy to accumulate points and good variety of exchange

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't think of any!

I have always done my main shopping in Tesco’s. When we lived in the Midlands Tesco’s was literally across the road from the Town Hall where I worked so I could shop on my way into or out of work quite easily. It followed that when Tesco’s brought out their loyalty card I should get one straight away. After all in my case as I was already a customer I would be getting money for doing nothing different to my usual routine. Initially I had what was called a Clubcard Plus account. I don’t know if these are still available as I closed mine a few years ago and haven’t heard or seen anything in ... more

I must admit that I am one for getting something for nothing and do very well out of various schemes... one of the better schemes I use is Tesco's Clubcard. ***************************************** What is Tesco's Clubcard? Tesco's Clubcard is a free loyalty card scheme. You receive approximately 1% rebate on purchases via their stores, internet sites or from shopping with one of their partner sites. Advantages Advantages Money for money you are going to spend anyway, great offers & more free money!

Disadvantages Disadvantages you dont get enough points for recycling & you get addicted to shopping

I am a great believer in money back websites and money back schemes so when I started doing my shopping at Tesco's and noticed that they had a Tesco's clubcard I signed up straight away and I must say shopping there has now become a bit of an obsession. I know that the money saving expert says you shouldn't go to just to get points if you can get a better deal elsewhere that is worth more but I just cant help it I am addicted to collecting to points at tesco! There I have admitted it now I must join the Tesco clubcard anonymous club. Here is why I support the Tesco clubcard. EASY TO SIGN UP ... more

Advantages Advantages great selection of deals, plenty of ways to earn them

I didn't start shopping at Tesco's until I moved to Selby 3 years ago. Til then I had shopped at Asda in Hull or before that at Safeway's when I lived in Arbroath. Now I'm back in Arbroath and Safeway's has changed to Morrisons which hasn't made me change my mind about Tesco's one bit. I find Morrison's as Safeway was before it remarkably overpriced especially on their so called Bettabuy range which doesn't at all compare to the Tesco Value range in price or quality. This is the main reason that once a week or so I go travel to the nearby towns of Montrose, Forfar or Dundee with my mum and ... more

I’d better make this review good because apparently Tesco have a special power over Ciao that results in certain negative reviews about them being deleted. Well, would you believe it’s been nearly ten years since Tesco launched the little blue card that we all seem to love or hate? Since then we’ve seen Tesco’s unstoppable growth into every corner of our lives. The company now accounts for a staggering 28 percent of the British grocery market, with its nearest competitor Asda lagging way behind on 16 percent. It seems that our old friend the Clubcard has got something to do with it. Other ... more

I had completely forgotten I had wanted to do this review and it wasn't until the Tesco Delivery driver asked about my holiday and was telling me that he had change his mind about using his Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay for his holiday that it reminded me that I had wanted to put my point of view about the Clubcard vouchers across. So here goes. Applying for a Club card The Tesco Clubcard is a loyalty scheme offered by Tesco. You can pick up the card (looks like a standard plastic Credit/Debit card with Tesco Clubcard printed on it, your unique club card number and your name)and application ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy and fast to accumulate points and money off!!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages The way you spend points should be revised maybe so that you can get "change"!

Tesco Clubcard About Clubcard was launched in 1995 and since then has just got more and more popular dragging customers into Tesco’s shops around the country. Resulting in Tesco becoming one of the most popular Supermarkets in Britain. If you don’t have a Tesco’s Clubcard the way it works very simply is that as you spend in Tesco (whether it be on food, petrol, insurance), you earn points on your Clubcard, every £1 = 1point, ever 100 points = £1 to spend in store. And although it sounds like you need to spend hundreds of pound in Tesco to get anything back, with the double points in store ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of reward options; it's really something for nothing

Disadvantages Disadvantages The consumer has no control over when they get rewarded

Tesco Clubcard has become something of a phenomenon in Britain. Without a doubt, it has helped the company in its quest to become the UK's number one grocer and maintain that position. Background ~~~~~~~~~ Tesco Clubcard was first launched back in 1995. At this time, loyalty cards were still being trialled in the UK and many were not as successful as retailers hoped they would be. For example, Safeway's ABC card and Asda's 'Clubcard' both failed to get off the ground and were soon ditched in favour of other loyalty schemes. Fully aware of what happened to its competitors, Tesco took a huge ... more

I have had a Tesco club card for many years now and I have to say it is the best loyalty card around. I never really used it much and only got a few pounds back every few months, however since moving into my own home the points have soon mounted up. I usually get at least £10 worth of vouchers each time they are send out, often more than this. Applying for a Tesco Clubcard and the card itself Applying for a Tesco Clubcard is simple, all you need to do is pick up a form in store. The form is simple to fill in and consists of the usual type of questions such as name address ect. Within a few ... more

Advantages Advantages Good day out passes option

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a lot of points to obtain for every pound spent.

I shop at Tescos once a fortnight and spend between £40 and £45 so I decided a clubcard would be a good idea for me. Especially as I could end up saving money on future shopping trips. My mom also recommended that I got a clubcard because I could help save my money and spend it on my little lad. I decided I wanted a clubcard and asked the cashier for one and she scanned the paper card and told me to fill in the form and send it off and I should receive a card within a couple of weeks. So I got home and looked at the registration form which was particularly easy to complete. Simply filling in ... more
