Advantages Advantages They do respond to complaints

Disadvantages Disadvantages They don't always make the necessary improvements

I have always admired Tesco - they have a very good range and they do it well. I have always felt that they followed the market closely and responded well to what customers wanted. Sadly, more recently I feel they have started to miss the point and I find that increasingly I am becoming dissatisfied with my shopping experience when I go there. I am a regular Tesco shopper, my preferred time to go for my weekly shop is bright and early (about 8.00am) on a Saturday morning. I figure that at that time they should have restocked from the blitz that is Friday night shopping and I can get into (and ... more

Tesco website NOT customer friendly. in my opinion as I wasted two hours of my life. I decided that I would try grocery home delivery service through Tesco. I am not a web novice so I was pretty confident that I can take in most of the details on display and could work out the format used by tesco. I found the Help page which had numerous headings and many links to query pages - I checked a few which I thought would be relevant. I did not systematiclly go through all as there were a lot. after that I proceeded to find my way around the virtual shop. Initially I could only find tesco's own ... more

Advantages Advantages no advantages of tesco customer service at cleckheaton and batley branch

Disadvantages Disadvantages many people are wanting employment and tesco staff should be made to be polite

i always do my shopping at tesco but recently have found the customer service to be very rude and not helpful at all. infact they are downright nasty and i have been embarassed and made to feel very foolish for the 3rd time in a matter of a few months. if the staff (customer services) feel that it is a acceptable to treat customers this way then i can see customers going elsewhere to do their shopping. i for one will not be going to tesco again. 1st time i was made to feel a fool was going to buy tobacco at customer service (cleckheaton store) they have a rail for customers to go round on this ... more

I was approached aggresively by the young Security guard at the Macclesfield Hibel Road Tesco one night as I left the store. The reason was I had parked in a disabled spot without a badge.Granted he wasnt to know that I was on 7 medications and had constant hip pain and find it hard to get out of my car unless the door is really wide, but it was 9.40pm and he would not stop shouting over the top of me as I tried to explain this to him and so I got in my car and drove off. A couple of weeks later, having avoided the store and shopping at Sainsburys I found I needed to go in for something I ... more

    Advantages Advantages NONE

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does not toast a full slice of bread.

This is the first time I have felt the need to complain about a product. Russell Hobbs Seattle Toaster in Black. Takes four slices. The product looks nice, however this is the only good thing I have to say about it. When toasting bread, it doesn't toast the whole slice. Its as though the slot isn't deep enough. Its only toasting just over 3/4 of a slice, Really really disappointing and annoying. I have thought about cutting off the crusts to see if that helps, I am not happy with this product one bit. I did wonder if the product was faulty ! but having read other peoples reviews obviously its ... more

Tesco ~~~~~ It is well worth visiting you local supermarket these days for electrical goods to see what is on offer. They do sell both own branded and popular make products as very good prices compared to other electrical retailers. We especially wanted to congratulate Tesco’s for their excellent after sales service we received recently…… Excellent Customer Service deserves 5 star rating. **************************************** We purchased a Dansai DVD 9/4/02 at £99.49 from Tesco local store. Advantages Advantages Local stores services aren't all that bad

Disadvantages Disadvantages Head office have little to no concern for company policy

Right, let's get cracking. Tesco is perhaps the most well-known supermarket in the UK, boasting competitive prices and their famous "every little helps" line. Last year they were reported as having the highest market share of all UK supermarkets, and record sales of about £3 billion (I think). Heck, even I have worked there (up until November 2004), so it's not half bad. Today, I am writing a review on their head offices' customer service from the view of a customer. The story begins with my dear mother. Smashing chapess. She normally shops in our local Tesco (Rickmansworth, where I used to ... more

Advantages Advantages it used to be very good...

Disadvantages Disadvantages awful customer service if you get problems with your order!

To make a short story long....I've ordered many times last year from Tesco online shopping and never had a single problem. Everything was brilliant. I moved away and decided recently to start shopping again on line. The morning when my first delivery -2 days after my order- was due, a person from the store called me and said I wouldn't be delivered because my debit card had been declined. My card was fine and I had money on my account etc. so I assumed I had entered the wrong card number (though I'm sure I had double-checked. He then suggested that I contact the customer service helpline. (I ... more

I bought a Sony VAIO laptop from a Tesco store in January for approximately £360. It was the ex-display / demonstration model. I was assured at the time of purchase that this would not affect the warranty. Some months later the "P" key fell off. I contacted Sony and they said the warranty was invalid because it was the ex-display model. They quoted me £230 to fix the broken P key. I contacted Tesco customer services on the phone and they said that, despite teh fact they thought the Sony warranty should not be affected, I could take the laptop back to store and they would swap it for a similar ... more

1 Star Quick review of Tesco Customer Service by Level 1 DISABLED 24/05/2007
I am reviewing Tesco's disabled parking policy. I am disabled with a disabled badge and cannot find a parking space when I visit the Tesco store in Prescot. It's full of able bodied people. I have complained to your Head Office. Your company makes millions but you treat your customers with utter contempt. I have made a complaint to our local radio station. PS I spend £150 a week in your store.
