From past experience I find little difference in terms of quality and durability between the more up-market brands of razors such as Gillette and the cheaper brands such as Bic. Gillette go overboard on advertising and promotion and it seems to me most of the extra you pay for their razors goes towards paying for this rather than any significant improvement in the quality of the blade. Why spend a fortune on gilette or Wilkinson Sword when you can get a shave that's just as good for a fraction of the price? At ten for about a pound, you're talking 10p for a good close shave with fresh blades, and you don't have to worry about where you put your razor, you can just grab another. I won't be buying a brand name razor again, that's for sure - when I have the blade's always gone blunt or rusty and is never sharp when I want to use it, and when you've run out of blades you have to hunt through the aisles finding the right blades at outrageous prices.
