...work had told him that Tesco do their own brand of hay fever tablets which are far cheaper than the 'branded' ones, they contain exactly the same active ingredient but work really well. Dad bought some and said they were good and that although his hay fever was not completely 'cured', it he did feel it had eased off considerably. I decided to try them for myself. I looked at the plain little white box with the familiar Tesco logo and thought to myself ... ...week. These little white Tesco equivalent tablets are very cheap in comparison, as they sell at a fraction of the cost - 99p for the same amount!!
Within about twenty to thirty minutes of swallowing the tablet I felt a little less itchy - not much, but just a little. Advantages: Cheaper than big name brand but just as effective Disadvantages: My body builds up resistance to them, so I need to rotate with another drug.

Without these tablets I think there are times when I would have gone mad (or broke). I find they provide long term relief from itching within a very short time from taking them. Although I don't specifically take them for hay fever, I have noticed since being on long term anti-histamines that I haven't suffered from any ... ...either. I have occasionally tried to last a day without them, but then I find myself unable sleep or do anything as I'm being driven to distraction by the itching so I always make sure I have a supply in my medicine cupboard. I find these work in exactly the same way and just as quickly as the more expensive brands but cost a great deal less (last time I looked Zirtek was over 3 quid a pack). So why pay more? If you use anti-histamines the next time ...

Advantages: Very cheap Disadvantages: So sleep inducing I have wanted to cry all afternoon!
...But yesterday I was in Tesco and I noticed how cheap the hayfever relife tablets were and I picked them up without thinking as they were a whole 0.57p less than the Boots ones! I forgot to read the packet correctly and took one this morning without reading the tablets. I have had to nearly go home from work as they have made me so tired I thought I was going to fall asleep at my desk and I have had blurred vision for about two hours! It's been a ... ...tag, drugs affect people very differently depending on the person but they have not been great for me and I would rather have hayfever than feel this bad. However the price tag may make you want to test them and some people barely get droozy what so ever! I would take them when you are not at work as a test first. If they work you have found an excellent bargain. I will now go back to the Boots ones they are reasonably priced, always work and come ...
