Advantages Advantages fairly inexpensive, easy to pick up when food shopping

Disadvantages Disadvantages quite large kibbles for cats that are starting to get on a bit.

I have had no choice over what cat food to feed my mogs for a number of years because one of my boys had kidney disease so needed to have a special low protein diet and most supermarket brands of food were a big no-no. If I fed them to him, he could develop a kidney stone and get a blocked kidney. To be safe, we just put both cats on the same kidney food, so when we prematurely lost our boy in 2011 at just 5 years old, we saw it as a chance to nring a bit of variety back into the diet of my other cat, Ginger. Ginger is not a mega fussy cat. He has a preference for wet food as he has been on ... more

Advantages Advantages The cats all enjoy this and it is good for them too

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing

I am the proud owner of three lovely little cats called Pud, who is my tiger stripe, Teacake, who is my long haired black and white old female cat and Winston who is my older still short haired black cat. They are good company and I would be lost without them. I like to give them both wet and dry cat foods and I like to buy them the best I can afford. They all like their food and I don’t give them their food at set times, I feed them on demand and I don’t know if that is a bad or a good thing or not but it is something I have always done with my little cats. None of them are overweight though ... more

Advantages Advantages cats really like them and they are affordable

Disadvantages Disadvantages not as good for my cats as some other brands

As you can probably tell from my previous reviews, I have tried lots and lots of cat crunchies, from brand name to supermarket own. Sometimes the crunchies were accepted and enjoyed, and sometimes they were accepted, left and then binned! This product is one that I have used on a number of occasions, and it is a product that I have to admit is well worth the money. For around £1.09 (dependant on which Tesco’s you shop in) you can get a 450g box of fish shaped crunchies that actually smell sort of meat like (well more meat like than other cardboard smelling cat crunchies you can buy). Smell ... more

Advantages Advantages Price, good alternative to your cats regular crunchies

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as good as the more expensive brands

Now anyone who has a cat must know that they can be fussy little blighters when the mood takes them. I usually give my 3 girls a mixture of dry and wet food and recently as they were getting a bit fed up and picky with their food I bought them some different crunchies for a change. I opted for Tesco Crunchies with Duck, Rabbit, Chicken and Vegetables. Lots of flavours in one box I thought, there’s bound to be a bit of something for everyone. The Tesco crunchies cos £1.11 for a 1kg box. The box is different to the one Ciao are showing. Its a black box with a large purple paw print on it, a ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap alternative

Disadvantages Disadvantages Don't look so nice

Our cat eats a fair bit, and top branded cat food is very expensive. I decided it was time to start feeding her cheaper alternatives, as we ourselves have been trying own brand products it's only right the cat does too! For £1.09 in Tesco you can get a 1kg box of 'premium' biscuits, that have four different flavours; duck, rabbit, chicken & vegetables. The Whiskas alternative costs in excess of £2 so there is a noticable saving. These biscuits are ideal to give your cat between meal times, and ours alwas has a bowl left in the kitchen for when we are at work, always leave your cat plenty of ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap and nutritious

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Our cat loves his food - she likes wet food most but we try to supplement with plenty of dried food too as recommended by the vet as she suffers from tartar on her teeth. One of her favourites is Tesco's own brand Premium Cat Crunchies. We tend to buy these in a 450g box for which we pay only £1.19 though sometimes we have bought the very large bag of them which lasts for ages and is more cost effective the large bag has to be opened with a pair of scissors. Champ's favourite flavour is the Duck & Rabbit - her least favourite is the chicken and vegetable. The chicken and vegetable has little ... more
