I've always got a block of blank A4 paper in the cupboard, I've only recently bought a printer so it hasn't been used for that purpose the majority of time. It's great to have paper on hand to quickly scribble something down, my daughter also loves it to use as a blank canvas for her various crafty activities. The paper we have at the moment is this one from the Tesco Value range. It is available to buy from Tesco either in store or online, whatever way you do your groceries. It costs no more than £2.50 for a block of approximately 500 sheets. The paper is packaged exactly how you would ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap,Lots of sheets, well packaged.

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit thin, not suitable for all printing jobs.

~*~*~*Introduction~*~*~* I am not particularly bothered about what paper I use in my black and white laser printer as I use the laser printer for printing out rough copies of letters, rough draughts and copied and pasted sections from web pages (recipes, jobs etc). I use better quality paper for actual letters and photo’s when I use my colour inkjet printer. While having a random wander around Tesco in the early hours of Christmas Eve I spotted the Tesco Value A4 White Paper at the eye grabbing price of £2.49, so I popped one in my trolley. ~*~*~*What do I get for £2.49?~*~*~* The Tesco Value ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap and of acceptable quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Thinner than other paper

While at University, I did a lot of printing, particularly printing notes before a lecture and printing out coursework etc. Throughout my 4 years at University I always used this Tesco Value A4 paper. This paper comes in a ream with 500 sheets. I find the cost varies between Tesco stores but costs somewhere between £2.30 and £2.50. At present it costs £2.38 on www.tesco.com. The paper is packaged in a white paper wrapped with the product information on it. The packaging is easy to open. The paper is 80gsm and when you feel it in your hands, it feels smooth and of an acceptable quality. The ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap, good enough quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages not as smooth as other papers for a higher finish

When it comes to buying paper for my printed I never get to weighed down by paper quality and weights, I just buy standard paper as usually it is just letters etc. I used to pay quite a lot for my paper and used to go to places like Staples where I thought I was getting a deal, that is until I came across this paper from Tesco. Being Tesco Value I was a bit concerned the quality might be a bit too cheap and a bit flimsy but for the price it would be no great loss to me even if it was as it wasn’t exactly too pricey. PACKAGING The packaging of this paper comes pretty much in the style of most ... more

Advantages Advantages prints well, decent for the price

Disadvantages Disadvantages can tear easily, basic looking packaging

I first bought paper for my HP printer from Currys when I had a bit more income and not as much expenditure and probably paid close to a fiver for some 500 sheets of paper. This actually lasted really ages as we tend not to print as much from home due to coloured ink being ridiculously extortionate and so pack lasted near enough 18 months. Now my daughter is 3 years old she loves drawing and scribbling away so after reading a few reviews about this Tesco A4 paper on here I decided to pick up a pack to stock up! The paper comes in a thick pile which is wrapped in a basic outer paper wrapper ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, 500 sheets, simple packaging, white paper, quite thin which works well for me.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the cleanest paper or best quality for a low price.

So we don't a huge amount of printing in our house, just minimal amounts really. The main thing that we print is vouchers from websites and confirmations for things, just general stuff that will save us time and/or money really. It's for this reason that we purchase this Tesco value a4 white paper. It's available, in store or online, from Tesco and for £2.50 and for this price you get 500 sheets of paper. This works out at just 0.5p per page and for this low price I don't mind if my nieces and nephews use half a packet to draw on every time they come over as it's fun for them and saves them ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me

One item I use on a daily basis in my office at home is paper. Yes, a boring product but helps me on a daily basis none the less. Generally when I print at home it is for work in draft as anything that needs to be printed properly say on engrossment or letter head paper I will do at work. Therefore, the choice of paper for me isn’t a big challenge as I tend to buy the cheapest available knowing that most of it will be thrown in my recycling bin. A few months ago whilst shopping in Tesco I was down the stationary aisle I came across the Tesco Value A4 Paper which at £2.38 for 500 sheets I ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, usable,.great everyday paper.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Might be a bit thin for special projects.

---Why I Buy It--- I have been compiling village books and also do the village newsletters so I tend to do a lot of printing and editing. Also my son is at university and prints out lots of assignments. I therefore go through masses of printing paper and try and use the cheapest one I can without compromising on usability. ----The Product--- This ream of paper (500 sheets) comes in a thick white paper package and Tesco state that it is 'great for low cost, high volume printing'. The paper is shown to be able to be used for copiers (inkjet or laser), plain paper faxes or typewriters. The paper ... more

As a student I go through a tonne of paper. I'm always having to print bits and bobs, especially in the revision season, and I also often use plain paper if I'm doing mindmaps or diagrams to aid my revision. I would say I go through anywhere between 5-20 sheets a week even though I tend to recycle old sheets by simply writing my notes on the back or around the margins. This means I need to buy in bulk and not only for cost effectiveness. Tesco Value's A4 paper comes in a pack of 500 sheets. This is perfect and lasts me a while, especially as I tend to buy around 3 packs at a time. They cost £2 ... more

We always have a packet of white paper in our house, my daughter is forever looking for paper to drawer on even though she has a drawer full of colouring books and I need paper for printing on. This sort of paper can e bought in many places but this particular is from Tesco as it is part of the Tesco Value range or the everyday value range as it is now called. A packet of 500 sheets costs £2.38 which I think is great value as it is less than half a pence per sheet, I was quite surprised recently to see Sainsbury's sell a pack at £6 for less sheets, I hadn't realised just how much paper could ... more
