Advantages Advantages Cheap to buy and an effective heater for small spaces, safety cut out mechanisms

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the most powerful heater

When we moved into our house in 2010 there was a very strange smell coming from the boiler, being a bit of a scardy-cat when it comes to gas and electrics I phoned someone in to check it - only to be told that the next available appointment was a week away due to the fact that this was Christmas week. Luckily this house isn't a particularly cold one and the few heaters we already owned were enough to warm the place up, but our bedroom was very chilly and with a baby just days away from being born we knew we'd need to put the most powerful heater in there - leaving the dining room decidedly ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, functional and safe

Disadvantages Disadvantages No rotatory feature, can be noisy and smelly

The cold has never been a friend of mine. Give me summer over winter any day of the week and although I do enjoy a nice toastie day in bed, all duvet-ed up with enough hot chocolate to sink a battleship; I would choose a beach, hammock, sunshine and pina colada every time. However, one of the downsides of living in England (and lets face it there are many!) is the cold. With this in mind, I purchased the cheapest heater that money could buy in order to keep myself warm at the times when I just don’t want to bankrupt myself by putting the central heating on. I purchased the Tesco Value Fan ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap and does heat the room

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cam emit a bit of a smell which can be worrying

As we have central heating I had not thought that we would need any other heating, but with rising costs it made sense to find another way to heat certain rooms. I did not want to pay a lot for an item that may not get a lot of use, so the Tesco Value fan seemed to be just what I needed. I was a bit concerned that this £9 would not last more than a week or so, but it is still working 4 months later. It has 2 heat settings so there is not a great deal of choice in temperature, but if it got really cold it would not be getting used that much anyway as the heating would go on so that was not a ... more

5 Stars Tesco FH11 fan heater Review with images 21/03/2012
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages cheap, durable easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages not for long use, uses alot o power if run along time

The Tesco FH11 value fan heater. Having been working in my garage on various things, rebuilding a mountain bike working on a car, painting doors I found I needed a source of heat, nothing to big as my garage isn’t massive or indeed empty. I plumed for the Tesco cheap the Value FH11 fan heater and low and behold its is very good it has kept me warm for a few hours on many a weekend and evening while I have been pottering around. The little fan heater comes with two settings and an adjustable thermostat to temper the heat to your taste, although I had to up everything and aim the heater at me ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap to buy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Noisy

We wanted to buy a heater that we could use to heat up a room quickly. Our spare room gets really cold so when one of the grandchildren stay over it is freezing up there when they go to bed. We thought of getting a fan heater as this would heat the room up quickly then when they are in bed and snuggled down we can switch it off again. We had a look round and saw a few that looked ok although we didn't want to spend a lot of money on it, then we were looking on the Tesco Direct web site and saw they had one for just £9. The said heater is from their Value range but we have bought items from ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap and works pretty well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Looks hideous, feels cheap and tacky

When we were in our local Tesco’s a while ago and my partner decided he wanted a fan heater for his office at work. As it was only being used at work, he only wanted something cheap and cheerful and ended up purchasing the Tesco Value FH11 Fan Heater. The main thing that attracted him to this heater was the price as it retails at around £9.00, which is a pretty decent price for a fan heater. He certainly didn’t choose this heater for its looks as it is the most hideous, ugly thing I have ever seen. You can’t expect much from a heater that is this cheap but it really does look rather cheap and ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, easy to use, does the job, safety features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small, can be a bit noisy

During part of my time at university, I lived in a big old house which got very cold in the winter. We had central heating but because of the size of the house it was very costly to use, particularly if there were only a couple of us at home, which happened quite often due to different lecture timetables. For this reason, we decided to invest in a couple of small heaters to heat up individual rooms when we couldn't justify putting the heating on. Being students, we went for the cheapest heaters we could find, choosing the Tesco Value Fan Heaters (model FH11) at £10 apeice. These were also easy ... more

    4 Stars CHEAP HEAT 03/03/2012
    User recommends the product

    Advantages Advantages great price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none really

I have had this Fan Heater for about 6 months. My parents had a Convector Heater and the only fan that we had was just a Cool air one, but this one gives Hot and cool Air and was a good price so I thought it was worth buying. My bought this out of 1 of the Tesco Superstores and this cost a bargain £9. Possibily not the fanciest Fan Heater out there but good for a bargain buy. This is a 2 Kilowatt Heater and this stands not very high - just under the height of a Ruler so this can be propped on a shelf or tucked away since it doesn't take up all that much room. This only has 2 Heat settings ... more
