Advantages Advantages Good taste and quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Seems to contains a long list of minor ingredients

INTRODUCTION I have previously reviewed vegetarian sausages, and I thought it would be nice to review the burger in the same Tesco range. I had a choice between mushroom burgers and vegetable burgers and plumped for the latter on this occasion. Maybe Ill do the mushroom burgers another time. In any case, I was quite heartened by the comments I got on my veggie sausage review; it seems I'm not the only non-vegetarian who likes this kind of thing. PACKAGING AND REECYCLING A green cardboard sleeve with picture of a cooked burger (uncannily accurate to the real deal) contains a black plastic tray ... more

    Advantages Advantages favourite of mine

Disadvantages Disadvantages the price is high for just two burgers

I am currently tucking into one of these burgers, meaning when I signed on I couldn't help but pick to review this over any other product! I flit between being vegetarian and eating meat (chicken only - I refuse to eat any other meat). Currently I am a vegetarian and these are one of my favourite indulgences. I am an incredibly fussy eater too which makes buying food an absolute nightmare. If I could live off Fajitas - I would. I never add variety to my meals because I don't like much food. (You'd hate to be my parents when I was younger right?!). Packaging The burgers come in a pack of two in ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Value for money, lovely

Disadvantages Disadvantages More trips to Tesco's , they are so yummy

I am not a vegetarian, but love vegetarian food - especially bean burgers. Orginially when I first started eating them you could only get them at Burger King. However as time has gone on they are now avaliable at most restraunt pubs and supermarkets - good news for both my pocket and health. It is great to see supermarket now stocking these sorts of products as when I was a vegetarian (as a predictable teenager) my mother found it difficult to find products that would allow me to have something other then veg. Tesco stock to different own brand bean burgers, Mexican Style bean burgers, please ... more

Advantages Advantages Great taste and texture

Disadvantages Disadvantages none that I can think of

I was a vegetarian for a few years in my teens, and still like to have meat-free meals occasionally. I'm reviewing their Mexican-style Bean Burgers, which are roughly quarter-pounder sized, come in packs of four and are found in the vegetarian frozen food section at Tesco. They are part of their 'Meat Free' range, and of the ones that we've tried so far these are our favourites. They're cooked from frozen, and I've both grilled and shallow-fried them with equally good results, although when shallow-frying they need to be at a pretty high temperature to crisp up the outside & stop them being a ... more
