Disadvantages Disadvantages Perhaps suited to "normal" skin types

After Avon discontinued my favourite (and most effective) face scrub I turned to the big brands for an alternative, however after trying a few, each of which failed to meet my needs, I came across Tesco Vitamin E Face Scrub for 72p! Yes 72p! So what do you get for your money? 150ml of face scrub boasting that it is enriched with vitamin E “for its antioxidant, protecting and conditioning properties”. The scrub comes in a peach coloured tube which stands on its white circular lid which is approximately 4 centimetres in diameter. The packaging is very simple. The only writing on the front is the ... more

I am used to wash my face in the mornings not with a wash but with a face scrub. As I don’t have a favourite one, I often try different scrubs. The last one I bought is Tesco Vitamin E Face Scrub. TESCO VITAMIN E RANGE Tesco made the whole range of products that were enriched with vitamin E which is an antioxidant, protects and conditions skin. Products, included in the range: - Facial Wipes, - Eye Make up Remover, - Toner, - Facial Wash, - Cleansing Lotion, - Face Scrub, - Night Cream, - Moisturising Lotion, - Hand and Nail Cream. PACKAGING This Tesco Fase Scrub comes in a peachy tube of 150 ... more

    Advantages Advantages hmm.....?

Disadvantages Disadvantages It doesn't work, it dries the skin, it smells cheap, it's like water

I have very dry skin and I get flaky patches which are unsightly and make me very self conscious. Also, whenever I apply make-up it tends to cling to the dry bits, highlighting the problem rather than covering it. I mainly get the flakiness around my nose but as soon as the colder weather shows up my skin gets progressively worse, and the dry patches start to appear on my forehead and even underneath my eyebrows! To keep the problem in check, I regularly use a face scrub to slough away dead skin, in the hope of leaving it smooth and healthy looking. I don’t have one particular brand that I ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't do anything for my skin

My normal facial scrub that I swear by is St.Ives apricot but at my local Tesco they didn't have the St Ives scrub and I need some facial scrub as I had run out. There was the Clearasil facial exfoliating scrub as well as the Tesco facial scrub but I have tried the Clearasil scrub and it is really rubbish and expensive. This only cost 71p and for that price it was worth testing it out. This does contain vitamin E which helps to combat free radicals that are formed by UV light i.e. sun rays. This doesn't have an SPF but it helps to reduce damage from the sun. I think that in the UK we are very ... more
