Violet & Basil ? Who are they?

Advantages: Very good quality and value for money.
Disadvantages: Perfume could be a little too ' heady'.

...to be Fairy, retails at Tesco for 98pence for a 500ml bottle, with the anti bacterial version costing more. Standard Persil brand costs 78pence but Violet & Basil bless them are priced at 68pence for 500ml bottle. As this product is also anti-bacterial I would say it more than competes against the leading brand but value for money it surpasses it! <:><:> Performance <:><:> I found the performance of this product as with regards cleaning ability ...
...Product Information !?!? ...in time for Corrers!) Tesco Ultra washing-up liquid with anti-bacterial agent was a recent BOGOF in my local branch. Now you know how much I love BOGOFs (Buy One Get One Free) so I popped a couple of bottles in my trolley. Now, in the interests of fair play, and knowing that my fellow Ciaoers also love a bargain, I have decided to make this op a ROGOF (Read One Get One Free) by reviewing two varieties…. ...at how quickly and easily Tesco Ultra cut through the grease and food debris. I washed dinner plates, side plates and pudding dishes from a meal for four, three saucepans, a gravy boat and four cups and saucers, as well as cutlery and when I had finished the suds were still going strong. A casserole dish which had baked on bits was left to soak for half an hour and I was able to clean it without too much scrubbing. Furthermore, all the crockery was ...

...I usually use the regular Tesco wash-up liquid (the one that comes in a rather plain and boring bottle and is very cheap…..no not the value one) but I happened to see that the Tesco Ultra washing up liquid was on special offer. It was on offer for 54p (for 375ml) instead of the usual 68p – a 20% saving. To make it even more attractive there were a reasonable range of scents available – to but it bluntly I was rather fed up with ...

Basically if you don’t know how to clean dishes properly you’re not going to find a washing up liquid that will make your dishes look marvellous (well that’s my opinion anyway). I suppose what I’m trying to say is that I can definitely recommend using this washing up liquid. Its smells good, looks good and cleans dishes well…………….if ...

TESCO Ultra Liquid - Where have my bubbles gone

Advantages: Cheaper than leading brands.
Disadvantages: Need to use a lot more to get bubbles, not so kind to hands.

...care when doing my weekly Tesco Internet shopping to ensure no bargains pass me by. I am always looking for the buy 1 get 1 free offers and reductions when buying 2 of the same product. My last "bargain" just happened to be TESCO Ultra Washing Up liquid at the price of buy 2 for £1 (normal price per 375ml 64p). Let's give it a try, I thought. Although not ultra cheap it was cheaper than my normal brand - Fairy at 88p for a 500ml bottle. Not a lot ...

...into the trolley, when the Tesco Ultra Washing Up Liquid bottle caught my eye. At 20p a bottle cheaper than the Fairy version, I took a second look. The bottle stated "cleans as well as the leading brand". Great, I thought, another leading brand to cross off my shopping list and another winner for Tesco, so I popped a bottle in my trolley. Kill The Teddies

Advantages: High concentration, washes well, smells goodish
Disadvantages: Red cap doesn't match green contents.

It happened sometime last week I think. Mummy dearest had just done the weekly shop and I waited in anticipation as the though of a nice big bag of sweeties filled my brain. What came however, was something quite different….and it wasn’t even for me :( Amongst the bags of healthy food, the 12 foot fluffy giraffe, ear of mongoose and eye of pleb, was a thing!! Finally, its identity was given away by the ‘TESCO washing up liquid’ ...
...I wouldn’t compare its smell to anything springish, but I suppose its green colour may be the reasoning behind that (with blue and yellow being perfect colours for winter and summer liquids). Its kinda hard to put any certain smell on this one. It smells like a decent washing up liquid anyway, and that’s all that matters. Its pretty much good, but I wouldn’t recommend drinking it!! Yes I have!!! So shape-wise, how would I describe ...

Cleans as well as the leading brand

Advantages: nice smell and value for money
Disadvantages: none

After using up my first bottle of fairy after moving out, I went to Tescos to do my weekly shop and pick up a new bottle. Just started a family of my own so learning how to budget and looking for bargains. Didn't take me long to find this little beauty. Big bottle, cheaper price and stating "CLEANS AS WELL AS THE LEADING BRAND" at the front! What harm could it do if I just try it out. This is comparing it to the trusty fairy liquid! The bottle ...
...out towards the top and then widens again with a little red flip lid on the top. The make of the brand and the use is clearly stated at the front as well as the scent. It comes in four scents in different colours. Citrus (yellow), tea tree (blue), spring (green) and orange (orange). I believe that they come in two sizes, 300ml and 500ml. I haven't bough the smaller size so can't really remember the price! I prefer using either the citrus or spring ...

You can't knock it...

Advantages: Fabulous Value
Disadvantages: Not as good as expensive stuff

...for me was when in Tesco I saw 15p a bottle stuff and decided to try it out. Hence, I found a simple dish cleaner and decided to keep buying this one and only this one. Tesco Value Washing up Liquid. ~The Look~ ------------- It's a bright white plastic body with red and blue writing and pictures. I liked that clearly. It's got a round bottle at the front is the Tesco logo with at the back side a promise warning ingredients list and directions ...
...concerned about, I got it Tesco as the retailer's price had a special offer it is something like 15-13p. ~Ease of Use~ ------------- It is very easy. That's it it does not have a bad point. The price of other liquid is astronomical £1 each bottle or £5 for five. A packet of five from the Tesco value liquid is 75p do the math! Another good point is the easefullness of use. ~Consumable~ ------------- As it's highly economic to buy the fact is ...

Is this washing up liquid?

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: So weak that you need loads just to wash a dish

I dont usually shop at Tescos but as it is my nearest supermarket tend to pop in for things I have forgotten when doing my weekly shop. Recently I ran out of washing up liquid and went to Tescos for some. Why did I bother I ask myself? It was a waste of time I may have well used just water it was so weak that I needed loads and loads to even get a bubble. Admittedly it was cheap and it was their economy one but it was just a waste. I usually buy ...

awful

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: weak, doesn't clean well

I regularly shop at Tescos and have started to buy more of their brand name products to save money. On the whole I've found that although nothing has been of fantastic quality it normally does the job. The washing up liquid is a very poor exception. For a litre it's about 40p and frankly given that I was lucky if it lasted 3 weeks and I don't have that many dishes of an evening, it was a poor investment. You need a lot of liquid just to get a decentish ...

Advantages:
Disadvantages: thin consistency

...I have tried the tesco own brand one , but as with all the others they are useless!!!! the consistency is so thin that you have to use loads to get any bubbles at all!!!!! They do clean the products but, they don't have that same effect when you leave them in the sink to soak for a while as the well known brands, which will clean the majority of the dirt off for you, with these you really have to scrub them clean. ...

Good value for money.

Advantages: Cheap and very good.
Disadvantages: None.

Tescos lemon washing up liquid. For the price Tescos lemon washing up liquid is excellent value. It is concentrated so a little goes a long way, doing an excellent job getting everything grease free and clean. It is the next one up from the cheapest and far better value for money. The next price up is 65p for 500 ml of Tescos Ultra and although good, a saving of 16p can be made for a washing up liquid of equal quality. It has a pleasant smell and ...
...to the bottle. It is very kind to the hands and does not leave them dry or itchy when rinsed and dried properly. According to the information on the rear of the bottle; it has a long lasting formulation, cuts through grease to leave dishes sparkling clean, developed for even better performance when washing dishes, rigorously consumer tested. I can vouch for the long lasting formulation and it's grease - removing properties. The cautions; after ...

Tescos own washing up liquid

Advantages: as above
Disadvantages: as above

Being the one who is alway landed with the washing up I tend to buy anything I can get my hands on. If the washing liquid runs out before the main shopping day I will go over the local shop and buy one. Shamelessly I am not loyal to any brand. Or should I say I wasnt. The other week my washing up liquid ran out on the right day for the weekly shopping in Tescos so I bought their own. It is good. I has changed the shape of its bottle lately. Now ...
...as fairy liquid bottle and low and behold the new one is now the same as the new fairy liquid which gives the idea that it must be the same liquid in each. Yet when I use fairy liquid my hands become red and blotchy which they dont with tescos own It is thick, smells nice and really gets the dishes clean. You dont have to use half the bottle in each bowl of washing up either as a little does go a long way and it doesnt cost as much as fairy. ...

Washing up at work

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: cheap

...because I bought it from Tesco after work as we had none at school and it was only 19p (I did get the money back from work though.) Why did I need it? To wash the children’s drinks cups .To wash dirty tables after Art or using play dough and other messy activities. I use it to wipe down other surfaces, remove dirt from toys and equipment. To wash up after food tech. And a multitude of other tasks How do I find it? Well I keep it on the top ...
...it satisfactory. Quite runny needs a reasonable amount. Does make bubbles if you use enough. Cleans the cups/beakers well enough. Does a fair job of the tables, not so good on some heavy soiled stained items need a cream cleaner for those. How is it on my hands? Fine but I do not have sensitive skin anyway actually when we run out of soap I sometimes use this to get the paint of my hands it works. Overall as a cheap washing up liquid it is fair, ...
