Advantages Advantages Gave me back my Saturdays!

Disadvantages Disadvantages you can't choose your fresh produce

I can't believe I haven't reviewed tesco.com yet! I've been doing my shopping online for over 2 years now and the only prospect of me stopping is if I switch to another grocery store. I am a convert for life to online grocery shopping. So that you can understand just what a difference this service can make to your life you need to understand mine. 1. I’m a lawyer, married to a lawyer. Result - lots of time is spent at work, including evenings and weekends at times. 2. I don’t have a car, therefore grocery shopping is limited to what I can carry the 10 minute walk to the store. My local Tesco ... more

Advantages Advantages All your shopping delievered to you. No hassle...

Disadvantages Disadvantages It takes a while to do the order the first few times. Substitutions can be unsuitable

My Mum and I decided to try out Tesco.com back in November. After having a knee operation and hobbling around the supermarket it was an effort for her and it wasn't helped with me being dizzy. Doing a weekly shop used to be such and effort and we even used to end up in the café at the end to have a rest. All in all a round trip to Tesco and back again (including unloading the car and putting it all away) used to take well over 2 hours. So after a suggestion from my Dad I looked into it online and we decided to give it a go and see how it went. If it didn't work out we could go back to doing it ... more

Advantages Advantages No stress, no heavy bags, good and varied choice

Disadvantages Disadvantages Typing mistakes can happen, watch how many items you enter

I have always been a regular and somewhat devoted customer to Tesco since I married my other half 12 years ago. Before I moved to Hampshire I lived in Hayes. Even though there was an excellent Tesco store on my doorstep in Yeading, I still preferred the convenience of shopping online. After moving to Basingstoke, the only store "close" to my home is in Chineham. The range is minimal and unlike the other two supermarkets here, it's really not that local to my home. Therefore I class myself as being a pretty competent and somewhat expert .com user. This is my lifeline. So from the store with the ... more

Advantages Advantages delivered to your door in all weathers, less temptation to impulse buy

Disadvantages Disadvantages items not available, late or no delivery, delivery charge

My huge, local Tesco Extra is less than a mile up the road from where I live. I regularly go and get my shopping there. But I limit my shopping to urgent items I've run out of and fresh fruit and vegetables. Anything else I have delivered to my front door - mainly due to the fact I don't have a car. I also use Sainsburys to deliver my shopping and normally alternate between the two companies (or favour one over the other when one has more of my favourite things on offer). Before you can shop you have to sign up with Tesco. It's only a short exercise, they want to know your name address (after ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I first started shopping for groceries online when my daughter was still a baby... We'd moved into a flat that was on the first floor and it had become hectic going shopping for groceries and then bringing them in with baby and buggy up the stairs so I decided to give online grocery shopping a go to take the stress out of the monthly shop which worked wonders as the delivery guys would bring the stuff into the house!:-) I stopped using online shopping when it became easier to go out and do it ourselves but lately, it just seems easier to do as with school and work schedules, the weekends are ... more

Advantages Advantages EASY, QUICK, NO EFFORT

Disadvantages Disadvantages COSTS TO GET IT ALL DELIVERED

Tesco.com A few weeks ago I took the plunge and decided to order my grocery shopping online. Having not been too well recently, I didn't feel like doing a big shop in an actual supermarket, and not driving means having to use public transport or a cab to get there and back. So online shopping it was to be! Now there are quite a few supermarkets to choose from who will delivery your goods to your home, but as I mostly shop in Tesco anyway, and have one of their clubcards I plumped for them, knowing I would get lots of loyalty points! I had also picked up a £5.00 off your first order voucher ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages the bill and delivery charges, damaged goods.

It doesn’t matter how much I try to resist cutting corners, sooner or later I was bound to succumb to the charms of online grocery shopping. I’ve been tempted many times, but having little more than a solo card (solo debit card) I found few online food shopping services accepted my little friend. Eventually I have progressed to a credit card for several reasons; amongst them was the convenience of being able to do my weekly food haul from the comfort of my keyboard. On the initial homepage you will find that not only do Tesco.com offer home grocery shopping, but they also offer a range of ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast, efficient, service with friendly delivery men

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive delivery on certain days of the week

We had previously tried doing our weekly shop using the Asda on-line service and were seriously unimpressed. They could not get our order correct and some weeks brought other people's shopping instead. We then decided to give Tesco.com a go. It's very easy to get Tesco to deliver your shopping, once you have checked that they deliver to your area (you put your postcode in and the website will tell you), it is very easy to register your address and debit/credit card details and then off you go. The website itself it split into various categories: CD/DVD/Games, Flowers, Gifts, Mobile Phones ... more

Advantages Advantages Don't have to deal with other shoppers, Generally less stressful, Good offer codes.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can take a while, Mistakes do get made with deliveries.

I have somewhat mixed feelings on tesco.com online shopping as I've had both good and bad experiences with them. It's a case of when they're good, they're very good and when they are bad, they are horrid. I'm not actually going to explain too much about the whole site and how it works in this review as I feel this has been done enough times on numerous other reviews I have seen on here and wouldn't just want to repeat/regurgitate the same information over and over. My review contains information about both grocery home shopping and tesco extra. I will first off start by telling you about my ... more

The past few weeks have been a bit of a nightmare for me, due to having had two wisdom teeth removed. Little did I realise that a simple procedure would knock me for six, when I had a severe reaction to the anaesthetic. I’ve been unable to work, clean the house or go shopping. My partner decided he didn’t really want to shoulder the responsibility of undertaking a shopping trip all on his own, poor bunny. So we decided to do our shopping online. So, who to choose? *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ There are a number of leading supermarkets which offer online shopping, with Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s being ... more
