Advantages Advantages cheap, fragrant, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages not very soapy, the lid

I have just discovered the 'I Can...' range for Tesco. It consists of the 'I Can...Wash My Body', 'I Can...Wash My Hair', 'I Can...Have a Bubble Bath' and 'I Can...Wipe my Bottom'. Okay, this last one may not be right, but its pretty much what it is, or what the product is for. This range is specially formulated for children aged 2 +. It is to teach them to be more independant through simple actions such as washing their own hair or their own body. I am reveiwing the 'I Can...Wash My Body' Body Wash ***PACKAGING*** The product comes in a clear cylinder shaped bottle. It has a flip lid on the ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheaper, Delicate and just as good as a well known brand

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does not smell like a well know brand

As a new mum I thought the well known brands were always the best, well thats what I thought! I purchased Tesco baby head to toe wash as an alternative to the well known version, and I have to say I was impressed, not only with the price and performance but the smell as well. The pacakaging is simple, with pump dispenser and easy to follow instructions. This product has many advantages it covers all aspects of bath time, from hair washing to a mild hypoallergenic bubble bath, its mild no tears formula makes hair washing less of a drama. Its gentle smell leaves skin smelling fresh and soft, and ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap and easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages ? tested on animals

I am always yp for trying new products espcially when they appear good value and easy to use. The Tesco, my baby's head to toe wash is no exeption. When shopping recently, i nearly picked up my Johnsons usual, but noticed this for a mear £1.29 and thought id give it a go. The product comes in an opaque bottle approx 25-30cm tall with the liquid inside being yellow in colour to match the yellow lid and dispenser. On the front of the bottle isnthe tesco logo and a spiel, i quote: "suitable for newborns, no tears formula, gently cleanses hair and body, paediatrician approved, hypoallergenic ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap, effective, non-irratant

    Disadvantages Disadvantages NO Johnson smell

I am hoping I am not the only person whose child has at some point decided to eat the bubbles whilst in the bath. Anna does this on a regular basis, as I lean her forward to clean her back she chomps a mouthful in, in fact she is eyeing them up the second she gets in the bath. I used to use Johnsons bedtime bath but she did the bubble thing and was very sick so I stopped using it as I was worried about the effect. I now use this tesco wash as it does foam up like bath foam and the bubbles dont make her sick (trying to stop her is impossible) Right on to the actual product itself. I buy it in ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, as good as more expensive brands

Disadvantages Disadvantages not really suitable for very sensitive skin

I bought this product for my mom to use instead of soap in the bath as I suffer from eczema and I wanted to prevent soap residue from sticking to the bath. The main reason I chose Tescos baby top to toe wash was because it was soap free and very mild. Anyway when I got home I thought I'd give it a try for myself which was not a very clever idea as it aggrevated my skin a lot (as every toiltry does). It was fine for washing my hair though and left it clean and soft. It was as good as more expensive baby shampoos. When my mom came to use it (she has normal skin) she loved it and vowed never to ... more

Advantages Advantages much cheaper than well known brands

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not very bubbly

I bought this product because we were going away for a few days, and it can be used as foam bath, liquid soap and shampoo. Previously I had only used the main brand, but this was half the price, so I decided to give it a try. The product is excellent as a soap and shampoo, but although adequate, does not make lots of bubbles as a foam bath. The smell is quite plain, and it does not irritate my baby's dry skin and slight eczema. It comes in a pump top bottle which is great because you can get just a little bit out, so it is economical. A bottle lasts ages, even doing all three jobs. I will ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheaper than well known brand, excellent on dry skin

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I suffer with quite bad eczema. Over the years I have struggled to find a cleanser that is fairly cheap and does not dry my skin too much. There have been a few products but these have been a little pricy and the stuff never seems to last very long. When I had my son, he was quite premature and suffered with terribly dry skin. A friend recommend using a top to toe formula. I looked around and tried a few of the other well known brands but again these tended to be a little on the expensive side. Whilst walking around our local tesco one day I found this product. I thought it was worth a try as ... more
