Advantages: Excellent Price, Smells gorgeous, easy to apply Disadvantages: None spring to mind
...thought I would head for Tesco first to get my groceries and nip back afterwards. While in Tesco I was wandering through the toiletries department and happened to spot the vast range of Sun Care products on display there. I hadn’t even thought about looking here before, so I decided to browse through hoping to save myself time without having to go to the Chemist.
I noticed that Tesco had their own brand of sun creams and I was pleased to see that ... ...were in the water. Tesco Kids Sun Protection comes with the promise that the waterproof cream works even after two 20 minute swims so this was very reassuring. Once I returned home the sun was quite intense so I decided to use the cream straight away, particularly on Craig as he is only 18 months old and still has highly sensitive skin. Opening the fliptop cap on the bottle I was met with the gorgeous aroma of coconut, which was already conjuring ...

Advantages: Great for my sons skin who had infantile eczema Disadvantages: Reapplies quite a lot
...Tesco.
I bought the Tesco sun protection baby, factor 40 and have never looked back.
It advertises on its very simple white tube that it is/has:-
Ultra UVA protection
Hypoallergenic
Fragrance free
Extra water resistant (although it does say you should reapply after bathing)
Visible when applied
Dermatalogically tested
It is recommended on infants from 6 months and older. Also it states it should be applied 15 minutes before sun exposure ... ...1-2 hours and after bathing. As it is visible on application it is easy to get the total coverage recommended (it is visible white..which does tend to leave a white sheen but that is handy because when that fades you know to reapply)
My son never had any problems with his skin through this product and that was my biggest concern. I have used it for two summers now and have just bought a new tube for this summer.
I do think though that by the time ...

Advantages: good for kids and adults. Disadvantages: not really sure yet, ask me when my kids get skin cancer.
Tesco Kids Range Sun Lotion.
When we went looking to buy some sun lotion for the kids this year we decided to have a look at Tescos own brand as we are fed up of these big brand names with high prices. (This isnt a good thing when the baby wants to spray her self all the time with a bottle of lotion which cost about £10.00 plus a time.)
Tesco had very little to choose from on their shelfs but the lotions that they did have met my standerds so I ... ...summer has only just begun and I would recomend to all the people out there that are looking for a bargain to get down to tesco and look for this sun lotion. Overall, this is a worthwhile product, and one of the best for value on the market. ...

Advantages: Prevents burning, reduces likelihood of skin cancer Disadvantages: None that I can think of
Following an argument with my neighbours who managed to get my 7mth old daughter burnt I decided to change sunscreen. The main reason being that my other one sunk in completely to the skin and I wanted to be able to tell that she was wearing it (neighbours tried to convince me that she miraculously got burnt whilst wearing sunscreen, her sunhat, sat in the shade with the suncover down on the pram!)
Whilst doing my shopping I picked up a tube of ... ...were hitting the £8-£10 mark.
It is a thick white factor 40 cream, it has no discernible smell. It comes in a fliptop tube and is very easy to apply despite being thick it does spread easy.
It leaves a thin residue which is visible so for me this was a good thing but not everyone will feel the same way about this. It isn't as visible as the ones from the days when my mum used to smoother me in cream though, it kind of gives Anna a pale faced sheen ...

Advantages: works and is cheap Disadvantages: very thick
Tesco's sun tan lotions for kids are an excellent product which are reliable and very affordable. Having got pale skin that burns rather than tans I wanted the best protection for my toddler. Most childrens sun lotions appeared to go upto factor 35 and no more and were extremely expensive. However whilest in my local branch of Tesco's I came across where own range of sun creams for kids. I bought a tube of the factor 50 as I was going abroad and ... ...the only other factor50 I had seen was nearly 3 times the price. It work extremeley well. I have only one gripe about it - its like spreading lard! but is great for using on areas like the neck and shoulders. I would also recommend the lower factors as well. nb you will notice I've put factor 30 on the bit below this was a review of factor 50 the choices only went up to 30 ...

Advantages: Good and works but so bad for their skin Disadvantages: bad for their skin
I have a real problem now that the our belated Summer holiday is upon us again I have always bought Tesco's suncream because it's cheap and does the job very well but it is very bad for little ones skin because the higher the factor the more it blocks up their pores, which in turn can cause really bad skin complaints. Now Tescos do indeed do a great suncream both for kids and adults and I have always bought it since last summer when my little girl ... ...the sun and washing off the cream in a bucket of water tescos version stays on just as well as these that claim to be waterproof. But like i say now we have a problem do we wrap her up to the neck and put a hat on, where she may overheat, or face giving her possible skin complaints. I think we will try and keep her in the shade at all times even if this may cause ructions as I don't fancy another 5 hours in casualty,i will still buy Tescos sun cream ...
