...fan and I can’t bear the feeling of having something on my face and when this was recommended to me years ago I tried it and loved it. It combines a concealer and foundation in one so it covers slight blemishes as well as evening out tone, if I have a small red spot this powder will cover it pretty well.

You can apply the powder either dry or wet. I always apply dry, so I just use the sponge to sweep over the foundation and then straight onto my face. I cannot feel this foundation on my face and it gives a good even coverage with a matte finish. I did try applying it by the wet method once, which just involves dampening the sponge slightly and then applying but I ...

Advantages: Easy to apply, natural looking Disadvantages: Not enough colours, changes colour from dry to wet
...on a recent trip to the Body Shop where the very helpful assistant asked me about my skin and my make-up needs, then gave me a free makeover in which she used this foundation as the base. I was so impressed with how easy it was to apply that I bought it straight away. It costs £11.70 from Body Shop stores or their website.

The foundation is a powder which you use the provided sponge to apply. You can use it wet or dry - dry for a light matte finish, or wet for a higher coverage. I find I have to use it wet because the colour is darker when it's dry, but it's just right when it's wet. It's really easy to apply by just getting the foundation on the sponge and sweeping it over your face, blending ...

Advantages: Refills are cheap, excellent coverage, new sponge with refill, doesn't make you look orange! Disadvantages: Changing the refill is fiddly
...normal to oily skin, as the powder consistency tends to absorb excess oils in the skin, and reduce the “shine” effect. It has a light smooth texture, and gives very good coverage without looking heavy. It’s incredibly quick to apply, and I usually can’t be bothered spending ages putting slap on in the morning – so if it wasn’t quick, I wouldn’t bother. It contains the essential oils of lavender, rose, sage and bitter orange, which have tonic and astringent properties, helping to enliven the complexion and reduce excess oiliness. I always think it is rather amusing that, whenever I go up to ask make-up advice from one of the women behind the “proper” ...

Advantages: Vlue for money, good coverage Disadvantages: needs reapplying throughout the day
The Body Shop All in one Face Base has been an addition to my make up case for about six months. I have actually only used one in full and have just begun a second. It costs £10.00 for a compact size of 7g. This is a pretty standard size of a normal powder compact.
The beauty of this Face Base is that you do not need a separate foundation and pressed powder. It is all built into one! Very handy for your handbag!
The Face Base comes in a navy blue ... ...handy. You can apply using the sponge provided but personally I use a foundation brush. It tends to go on more even and you can control the amount you use. It also helps the powder to last longer.
The Face Base contains Marula Nut oil to help moisturisation of the skin and also Vitamin E which helps protect skin from harmful pollutants.
The powder is light and silky with a soft texture. The silky feel is achieved by silicone powder being used in ...

Advantages: Not too expensive, separate refills, attractive packaging, natural look. Disadvantages: Didn't keep me matte, wasn't enough coverage for me, made pores feel clogged.
...had a makeover done at The Body Shop a while ago and it looked fabulous. I remembered that this was the foundation they used on me, so decided that I would go and buy it to try and recreate the look for myself. I was very unsure about which colour I should choose so I asked the make-up woman and she told me I was shade 05. I was very unsure of this because the shop is not very well lit and people have always commented on how pale I am, but I decided ... ...warned away by how orange the assistants face was! I got it home and tried it on and it was just ORANGE! I looked really terrible, so I had to wash it all off immediately. However, I wasn't going to give up on this foundation so off to the shops I trotted and came back with the lightest shade there, shade 02, which cost me another 11.50. This time it was a much, much better colour match. I went on the website to check what this product claims to ...

Advantages: Lots of shades to choose from Disadvantages: A bit powdery
...Packaging.
They have recently changed the packaging and now it is far better. It is now green and circular with a small mirror in the lid and a separate compartmant to store the circular sponge in which comes with the product.

Appearance.
This covers spots, red patches and dark circles but only tends to last for about 2 hours so touch ups are needed, however this doesn't bother me as it is common to most compact bases and i hate liquid foundation. As such it is really easy to remove. There are lots of different shades to choose from, however when i went to buy mine the sales assistant tried a couple ...

looking through the reviews, it seems that I am the only one who's about to write a bad review and make the product's rating decrease slightly. Maybe I just have odd skin lol. My skin is considered combination, I do get spots and I do get dry skin if I dont look after it properly. The product cost me £11.70 and in my mind is the most insane amount to spend on foundation! ...easy to use, and provides the best, longest-lasting coverage I've ever experienced with foundations. All you do is use the enclosed pad to apply over your face - it only takes seconds! And the coverage is so even, which I can never achieve with liquid or cream foundations. Or for more coverage, use a big brush. It lasts all day too, and is super easy to touch up for evenings out. Just make sure you choose the one that best matches your skin tone ... ...This product is great for women with not a lot of time to spend half-an-hour putting on their makeup - but without sacrificing looking great! And compared to most foundations, it's really inexpensive - about £6-7, compared to around £15-35 for other brands such as MAC. Also, I think it's important to note that it's cruelty-free, which is very important to me. ...

...so was advised on exactly the right shade for me.
It's basically a concealer, foundation and powder in one. I have found it is best to use this product wet, as it gives a far more natural finish. If used dry it tends to be powdery and sits on top of the skin as opposed to blending in.
It has a very good coverage, hiding all of those unwanted blemishes or dark patches but it won't last all day, so touch ups are required. Initially, you purchase ... ...applicator sponge as it blends the make up better), make-up compartment and a mirror in the lid. I was disappointed when the compact was changed from the oblong shape to the new circular shape. I've found the compact comes apart easily and have been in danger of damaging the make up itself a few times. The whole compact costs about £10.00. When the time comes, you can then just purchase the refill for about £8.00.
The great thing with this product, ...
