Advantages Advantages Soft smooth hands, smells nice, rich and effective.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The price tag.

One of my stocking fillers on Christmas day was a 50ml/45g pot of Almond Oil Hand Rescue Treatment from The Body Shop. Oh and yes you did read right, stocking filler. My future in-laws bought me a little stocking that they put a few bits in for me, how sweet! I am relatively new to hand cream but as the years roll on it becomes more and more necessary for me to use it. Up until now I have only used it sporadically when my hands were desperate. As I get closer to thirty I am finding it less of a rescue product and more of a constant maintenance one. That and I realise that if I don't look after ... more

Advantages Advantages Leaves hands feeling silky smooth and smells lovely

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hands are greasy for a couple minutes after application

I purchased a daily hand and nail cream from the body shop a couple of months back as my hands are often dry after washing. I have found this product to be much better than other products I have used on my hands for example nivea and vaseline. Not that I dislike the other products I have used but they just leave my hands greasy for ages and I cant do nothing with them. The body shops Almond Oil Hand and Nail Cream does have my hands feeling greasy, however, only for a couple of minutes. After that they become extremely soft and supple yet you can not feel that anything is on your hands. It ... more

Advantages Advantages Works instantly, smells delicious

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

This handcream is made from almond oil, and is made by the Body Shop. I first starting using the hand cream when I wandered into the Body Shop looking for a hand cream designed for very dry hands and instant relief for my dry hands. I was approached by an overly zealous sales assistant, who recommended every product under the sun, including ones that wouldn't do anything for my dry hands! I eventually chose this slmond oil hand rescue treatment, as it smelt absolutely delicious and had a texture like butter, which I was sure would cure my dry hands. When I first used the treatment, I was ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes skin really soft & silky, a lovely pampering treat, beautiful scent

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I love pampering myself like most women and am always trying out new products to see what they will be like on my skin. I was in The Body Shop a while ago and came across something that caught my eye. The product that I am referring to is their Almond Oil Hand Rescue. This comes in a small very cute looking pot and contains 100 mls of product in it. The packaging isnt really particularly attractive, it is quite plain and dull and has a picture of a handprint on the front on a beige background. This costs £9 which I at first thought was a little bit expensive but now think it was worth every ... more

Advantages Advantages The gorgeous smell; the smoothing effect

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit pricy; greasy if over-used

Ordinarily, I'm not a fan of lotions and potions. I'm usually so under whelmed by products, mostly because they don't deliver the results I expect, that after a couple of days, all thoughts of using them go out of my head. Not something I would ever buy for myself, The Body Shop's Almond Oil Hand Rescue was recommended to me by a friend. I over came my usual cynicism when I removed the lid and first smelt the delicious Almond scent, which I find is very close to favourite smell, Vanilla. On first application, I found the immediate effect to be quite greasy, but after applying it a few times ... more
