Advantages: smells lovely, moisturising really well
Disadvantages: expensive

...but a long walk from the car park, I found the store to be shut when I got there. As you can imagine I wasn't best pleased as I had set my heart on pampering myself. However as I was wandering around town, the little old lightbulb in my head lit up and I remembered the Body Shop. This is another shop I haven't been in for ages, and even less so since discovering Lush. Being a typical shopper, I spent ages browsing the shelves, trying out most of ...
...for the Body Butter range, but I never end up buying any. On this occasion, the coconut body butter grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go until I had picked up at pot, albeit a small pot and purchased it at the till. *COST* My 50ml pot cost me £4, but there are also 200ml pots available for around the £10 mark. Personally I nearly had a heart attack at the price, but this was a self indulgence shop, and I hoped it would last me a while. *PACKAGING* ...

...a friend, and complaining about the dry patch to her. Her friend produced a big tub of cream, let her rub a little bit into the dry patch, and just like magic, the dryness was gone. When the dry patch hadn’t re-appeared four days later, my sister dragged me into the Body Shop to buy some of this miracle cream. The cream was called ‘Body Butter’. We found this Body Butter on display next to a big sign which said ‘as featured in Glamour magazine’ ...
...get any higher than that? The most difficult task was choosing the best one. Body Butters come in loads of different fragrances, including brazil nut, grape, melon, blueberry and coconut. That particular day, my sister chose Blueberry. I, however, was not impressed. Despite huge recommendations from my sister, I decided that £10 was far too much to pay for a little tub of moisturiser without some hard evidence that it was actually any good (it was ...

Advantages: Smells gorgeous, moisturises really well.
Disadvantages: Makes you want a holiday even more!

...of my favourite products from The Body Shop and also one of the most popular products they sell according to their figures! There has to be a reason why so many people love it! The Body Shop is well known for their body butters, and with good reason, these products are jam packed with moisturising ingredients and there is a scent for everyone's tastes. This particular body butter comes in a chocolate brown plastic tub, with a screw top lid. The ...
...tips the amount you want. The butter itself is a cream colour, certainly not white. This butter is set to the point that a new tub will still have a little nodule on the top where the pouring stopped. On the surface (when new) you can see the oil, only just, not like an oil slick or in a bad way. This comes highly scented, this has a gorgeous fragrance and is, as you would expect, coconut, nothing else! This is sweet coconut rather than dry and ...

...to mention I don't get the time to pamper myself very often! But when I received a free 50ml pot of The Body Shop's Coconut Body Butter with my copy of Marie Claire this month, I thought it'd be worth a try as it didn't cost me anything, and to be honest, it smelt gorgeous! So I knew this was going to be a good moisturiser and set about using it. Obviously in this weather, we're all wearing cropped trousers and shorts a lot, and my legs do dry out a bit from the sun, and the shaving creams and razors I use on my legs. ...needed pampering (bless him!). The gift pack included, Coconut Bath and shower cream, coconut body scrub, and lovely body polisher and of course, coconut body butter. At first I was a little wary of the body butter, as I often feel "gresy" once I have used body lotions and moisturisers, so I started off with a tiny amount of this product and did what it says on the tin! Here's the results! The packaging: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The body butter comes in a ...

...me will realise these are the things I adore, lots of lovely, bright beautiful smelly things. As part of a gift I received a 200ml pot of Coconut Body Butter by The Body Shop, now for those of you who don’t already know they just happen to be my very favourite retailers, well for a start lots of their products are part of their Community Trade range, a program in which the general public will buy goods that have been made by smaller poverty ...

I think I have babbled on enough, now I hear you all shout what about the product then Heather??? ...

The best body butters around!

Advantages: smells gorgeous and makes your skin feel it too!
Disadvantages: none

...believe it not! The ingredients include Shea butter to moisturise and soften skin, Caprylic which also softens skin and is derived from coconut oil and finally cocoa butter which melts at body temperature, leaving the skin feeling soft and silky smooth. Now this product claims its offers up to 24 hours moisturisation and i'd have to say I agree with it! As soon as it sinks onto your skin it feels beautifullly silky smooth and continues to feel that ...
...Regarding the smell, well here is the odd bit- I don't really think it smells of coconut! Nut maybe, but coconut no! For me this is good as coconut fragranced products tend to smell rather artifical but this does not! The actual look of the product is creamy coloured and it does indeed much to my delight look and feel like butter, it is just so thick and buttery like. Much so more than anyother product I have tried. I can't stand body butters which ...

...while I have shopped at The Body Shop. There wasn't a real reason why I stopped going I just didn't really like their stuff any more. Recently though I received a free 50ml pot of Coconut Body Butter with Marie Claire magazine and I loved it so much that I will definitely be making a trip to Body Shop, (or at least their website). ~~~~~~ The pot I have is 50ml which is worth £5.00 and comes in a little brown plastic pot. ...bag. Once you open the lid you are greeted by a smell very similar to coconut milk. I love this smell so this definitely a great variety for me to try. The smell is very realistic as well rather than fake, sweet smell you get with some coconut fragranced things. The smell even provoked a reaction from the other half who really likes it. The Body Butter itself is a very pale creamy colour and quite solid. As soon as you touch it, it begins to melt ...

Coconut heaven!!

Advantages: Softens and moisturises your skin.
Disadvantages: None in my opinion!

If you love the smell of coconut then this is the body butter for you. When I initially received my range of body butters I imagined that I would feel like a big lump of lard, the name butter suggests to me greasy and heavy, perhaps because I hate the edible type of butter. However the Body Shop's Body Butter is nothing like the edible sort!! It's rich and creamy and is wonderful for dry skin. The 200ml tub is £10, more expensive than supermarket ...
...quality. The tub has a screw top and is brown. On opening the tub you are greeted with a lovely tropical scent which reminds me very much of coconut suncreams that I have used in the past. I use this after a bath, scooping out only small quantities to massage on my body, working wonders on dry, scaly elbows, a little does go a long way. It is quickly absorbed and the following morning I never have flaky bits of skin on my shins which I often get ...

Body Butter - a treat every day

Advantages: creamy texture, absorbed well, great smell
Disadvantages: a bit pricey

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter is one of the best skin products I have ever come acoss and although it seems expensive (about £10 a pot) it is quite a large pot and even using it daily on arms and legs I find it lasts longer than more liquid body moisturisers. The smell is wonderful and I really enjoy using it. It has a wonderful creamy texture, melts in to the skin and is absorbed without leaving any greasy residue and leaves the skin soft an ...

I have tried the strawberry and mango varieties and they really do smell of the fruits so if you are in to fruity smelling products then give them a try. I love it so much that when I get asked by my children/mother etc what I would like for birthday or Christmas its now top of the list- I really ...

Moisture and sweet _The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter

Advantages: Sweet smell, good absorption and moisturisation
Disadvantages: a little thick in summer days

I love many of the products from the body shop. The natural smell of all kinds of fruits, flowers and unknown plants from all over the worlds make me pleasant. The coconut body butter is one of my favorites. My skin is, in general, moderate but a little dry on the arms and legs. I did not use body butter every day. Instead I use body lotion and body butter in turn and only apply the body butter on arms and legs. At the first second when applying ...
...It provides good moisturisation on the skin. I feel soft and smooth on my skin and it really smells good. However I think it is not suitable for me in hot summer days as sometimes it makes my skin feel a little sticky. So I use body lotions alone in summer. By the way the peach body lotion from The Body Shop is my suggestion. I really enjoy its wonderful smell. The body lotions are about 8 pounds for 250ml and the body butters are 12 pounds for 200ml. ...

Body Shop Coconut Body Butter

Advantages: Smells amazing, non-greasy
Disadvantages: More addictive than nicotine

This is the yummiest, nicest, most gorgeous smelling body moisturiser EVER. I first bought a tub of it at the Duty Free on my way on holiday, and I'd used it all up by the time I got home - [although I did apply it to my arms and legs about 4 times a day, haha]. However, even after 3 applications in a row, it didn't feel sticky or greasy, like most body moisturisers do. It is so absolutely addictive - if you're going to buy it, go for the biggest ...
