Advantages Advantages Longevity in moisturizing and fragrant effects

Disadvantages Disadvantages Greasy in application and for an hour or so afterward!

The Product ~ ‘My Bread And Butter’! The Body Butter comes in a sturdy chocolate brown round plastic tub. The twist lid is initially tight to unscrew but thereafter turns easily. As with all Body Shop products, the familiar small green logo is prominently displayed on the front of the product. There is a picture of a fresh looking coconut halved on the label. The shelf life symbol on the reverse of the container notes twelve months from purchase. The Body Shop Web Site Promise ~ ‘Butter Wouldn’t Melt In His Mouth’! Advantages Advantages The product goes a long way, it moisturises skin well.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too oily, there are better scents within the collection.

If you read some of my reviews then you'll know that I'm no stranger to The Body Shop. I own lots of beauty items from the company and I make an indulgent purchase every few months. To be honest I have that many items knocking around that I forget what I have and what I haven't got... Last night I decided to get all my bath products out before I ran my bath and I decided to use an item that I haven't used for a while - The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter. Price and availability This body butter usually costs £5.00 for a small 50ml tub, or £12.50 for 200ml tub, but the Body Shop is currently ... more

Last week, I was determined to visit Lush after reading many reviews and realising I hadn't treated myself to anything for a long time. Treking to my nearest store which isn't too far from me, but a long walk from the car park, I found the store to be shut when I got there. As you can imagine I wasn't best pleased as I had set my heart on pampering myself. However as I was wandering around town, the little old lightbulb in my head lit up and I remembered the Body Shop. This is another shop I haven't been in for ages, and even less so since discovering Lush. Being a typical shopper, I spent ... more

My sister had this permanent dry patch on her arm. She tried about a thousand different moisturisers on it, but it never went away. Then one day she was visiting a friend, and complaining about the dry patch to her. Her friend produced a big tub of cream, let her rub a little bit into the dry patch, and just like magic, the dryness was gone. When the dry patch hadn’t re-appeared four days later, my sister dragged me into the Body Shop to buy some of this miracle cream. The cream was called ‘Body Butter’. We found this Body Butter on display next to a big sign which said ‘as featured in Glamour ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells gorgeous, moisturises really well.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Makes you want a holiday even more!

This is one of my favourite products from The Body Shop and also one of the most popular products they sell according to their figures! There has to be a reason why so many people love it! The Body Shop is well known for their body butters, and with good reason, these products are jam packed with moisturising ingredients and there is a scent for everyone's tastes. This particular body butter comes in a chocolate brown plastic tub, with a screw top lid. The lid makes it easy to scoop out with your finger tips the amount you want. The butter itself is a cream colour, certainly not white. This ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely scent, easy to use, absorbs quickly

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bigger pots are quite expensive

I'm not really a fan of using body moisturisers, because my skin is pretty healthy and doesn't dry out so I don't really see much point - not to mention I don't get the time to pamper myself very often! But when I received a free 50ml pot of The Body Shop's Coconut Body Butter with my copy of Marie Claire this month, I thought it'd be worth a try as it didn't cost me anything, and to be honest, it smelt gorgeous! The Body Shop are famous for their body and beauty products because they do not test their products on animals. They do many products from make-up, to shower gels to these body ... more

Advantages Advantages A little goes a long way, works wonders

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive

I was bought a Body Shop coconut gift pack ro Christmas by by husband, as I am nearly 8 months pregnant and he decided I needed pampering (bless him!). The gift pack included, Coconut Bath and shower cream, coconut body scrub, and lovely body polisher and of course, coconut body butter. At first I was a little wary of the body butter, as I often feel "gresy" once I have used body lotions and moisturisers, so I started off with a tiny amount of this product and did what it says on the tin! Here's the results! The packaging: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The body butter comes in a dark brown screw top plastic ... more

Yes, I am reviewing yet another Christmas gift, I seemed to have received an incredible amount of toiletries and cosmetics this year, not that I’m complaining you understand, everyone who knows me will realise these are the things I adore, lots of lovely, bright beautiful smelly things. As part of a gift I received a 200ml pot of Coconut Body Butter by The Body Shop, now for those of you who don’t already know they just happen to be my very favourite retailers, well for a start lots of their products are part of their Community Trade range, a program in which the general public ... more

Advantages Advantages Silky smooth skin, lasts a long time, supporting fair trade farmers.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could be a bit too greasy for some

Body Shop coconut body butter is, in my opinion, the best body butter on the market. I have tried other brands but I don't think they compare to the Body Shop butter. I've been using it for years now and I love it. I am a big fan of all the Body Shop Body Butter range but there's just something about the coconut flavour that is very special. I have the butter in both sizes. There is a 50ml tub, this retails at £5.00, and a 200ml tub, which costs £12.50. The 50ml size is perfect to slip into your suitcase for holidays. I find the body butter luxuriously creamy and soft. It is solid in the tub ... more
