Advantages: Comes in a nice screw top pot....? Disadvantages: Scratchy, Sticky, Smells Foul And Is Mostly Oil.
...and Dad, Little Brother and The Boyfriend are no exception. Last Christmas, I gave into pressure to make a list and duly listed everything I could possibly want. Irritatingly, with Christmas and Birthday lists, your mind often goes blank at the crucial moment and you have to scrabble around to think of things you'd like. In the bathroom, I looked longingly at my make up and realised that there was no way I'd receive the right shade. Instead, I would ... ...would be lovely to have the matching scrub. The Boyfriend got the present right and The Body Shop got it very, very wrong.
***************************************************************** Dear Sir / Madam,
I am a big fan of your Body Butters, my favourite being Mango. As such, I recently asked for the matching Body Scrub as a present and my boyfriend purchased the 200ml version for me at a cost of £12.00. I am writing to tell you how disappointed ...

Advantages: the pot looks nice... Disadvantages: smell, texture, price, fact it doesn't work, stickiness...
...a bad pot, and maybe the others wouldn't be like this one, but I have no intention to buy another one to check. Sorry, but I am broke, and can't go round willy nilly buying things just to check they're bad. Which is a shame really because generally I like Body Shop products. Anyway onto the review.
Everyone knows the history of the Body Shop, and they have a good reputation for delivering high quality products at reasonable (not cheap) prices that ... ...Scrub when I was at the airport. It was part of a 2 for £10 deal I think, so I bought this and some Papaya Body Butter (which actually I really like, so maybe I should give this product the benefit of the doubt...). I spent a long time smelling the testers trying to decide which flavours I liked the most, and although the papaya was my favourite, I bought the body scrub in mango for a bit of variety. The pot I ended up buying was sealed tightly shut ...

Advantages: Beautiful, really works, smells delicious! Disadvantages: The pots of a silly design!
...than over here. I bought the passion fruit body butter and the Mango Body Scrub, which is what I'm talking about here.
It cost about £13 English I think, if my conversions right, and it usually isn't.
I had a smell of the tester before I bought it and it's delicious! It does have a slightly artificial hint to it, but only in the way that Mango sorbet has an artificial hint to it. The lid of the pot has a close up photo of a mango on it, with a ... ...moisturise. VERY DRY SKIN." The rest of the pot is clear with another little label going around it with similar info on.
I thought it would be great while I was on holiday, as my skin dries up in the sun, and it's always good to exfoliate to remove dead skin cells, and make your tan shine through.
So I got back to the hotel all excited about using it, and it was lovely.
The scrub is made of sugar and salt and felt like it was actually doing something, ...

Advantages: works really well Disadvantages: a bit expensive, never quite fully washes off
...made a huge difference to the state of my skin, and it smells fab!
Each tub is 200ml and it lasts for months and months. At £12 I found it quite expensive but thought that it would be worth it if I used it once a week. I have to say that it really was!
It contains sugar and salt which beautifully exfoliates your skin and the oil re-hydrates and moisurises. The smell of mango is really strong and mouth-wateringly good!
The tub is really attractive ... ...The ingredients label on the bottom of the tub is really easy to read.
I found that you only need a small amount of this scrub to cover your whole body, so it lasts ages and I use it on a weekly basis. There is looooooads of exfoliating salt and sugar in it so you don't need very much.
I first tried using it on a sponge but found that the grains got stuck, so I resorted to rubbing the scrub around with my fingers and that worked fine. Then you ...

As a HUGE fan of the Body Shop, I was quite excited to receive a large gift pack containing a mango shower gel, body butter and body scrub. I gleefully opened up the bottles and tubs and took a deep whiff of each.. but when I got to the scrub.. my face probably fell to the floor.
The body scrub looks and smells pretty awful. It has a sort of 'plasticy' smell which does not even vaguely resemble mangoes! It also has a manky yellowy-grey colour to ... ...brave and try it out. The srub has a very very thick consistency, and is quite hard to get out of the tub, and spread on your skin. So I ended up scooping out a large dollop and *trying* to use it. I found that it was really sticky and all the sugary scrubby bits just dissolved immediately in the water... All that was left was a horribly sticky feeling on my legs, which I spent ages trying to wash off again. It did not exfoliate my skin at all, just ...

Advantages: Very moisturising Disadvantages: Not scrubby enough for me
...this purchase. Anyway, the product. Packaging is OK, nice big pot thats easy to open, and because its big, its easy to get your hands in and scoop up a big lump of scrub. Colour, a little insipid, but the smell! Woah, it hits you as it leaps from the pot. Fruity, fruity, fruity! It really does smell like Mangos, but with a hint of the artificial about it. Its very sweet. The main ingredients are sunflower oil, sugar & salt, and it does taste very ... ...I use a lot. The sunflower oil & sweet almond oil left my skin feeling slightly greasy but not too bad, I didnt need to use any body lotion afterwards. The sweet mango smell did linger on my skin. I would possibly buy this again, and would certainly try other fragrances in this range. ...

Advantages: feel fresh and moisturised after Disadvantages: too harsh for face
...this to be one of the nicest smelling scrubs I have ever used. The smell of mango hits you as soon as you open the pot its smells that real you could eat it. The pot is bright orange in colour and is a nice size to hold in your hand while scooping the scrub out with the other. I tested it on my hands first as I can be a little sensitive, after scooping a little bit of scrub into my hands I rubbed together as I would when using hand cream. It felt ... ...really soft and moisturised and the smelt lovely.
Then for the rest of the body, my legs and feet felt lovely and silky soft. I could smell the mango for quite a while afterwards. I would say it is good value for money and would buy again maybe trying a nother fragrance. ...
