You will no doubt be aware of my love for The Body Shop products by now, one of the reasons for this would have to be the fact that it does not test any of it’s products of animals along with the fact that most of their products do seem of a very good quality, Gawd now I sound like an advert lol.

THE BODY SHOP PEPPERMINT COOLING FOOT LOTION
All year round I have my feet showing for some reason. In the summer I like to wear sandals all the time, and this time of year I like to wear strappy little shoes to go out in. There has to be nothing worse than having dry cracked feet that look nasty and horrible.
I think I have a thing about going out without making a mega effort to look my best. For my feet, I have a foot spa, loads of nail polish ... ...A BIT ABOUT THE BODY SHOP
In my local shopping centre is a body shop. Even though they tend to be a bit expensive, when I get paid I usually go and spend a bit in there. I like the fact that the body shop make quality products that you know won’t have been tested on animals and usually make lovely smelling products, apart from a few that smell gross! The body shop have branches all over the UK, so you shouldn’t have much trouble finding one unless ...

...years now. I really like the product. When I used to work long shifts as a waitress my feet used to get really sore and quite hard and dry on the bottom, so when I finished my shift in the evenings I used to apply this before I went to bed and sleep with a pair of socks on and the effect of the peppermint cooling your feet down, and the fact that it moisturised the feet was just bliss!
If you have hard, dry skin on your feet I would really recommend ... ...sheets.
You can buy the lotion exclusively at The Body Shop and the cost of it is £8. The Body Shop also has a website now where you can purchase products so if there is not a Body Shop near you, you can simply order online!
The foot lotion is suitable for all skin types and comes in a 250ml bottle.
The ingredients in the foot lotion are: qua (Solvent/Diluent), Octyl Palmitate (Emollient), Ceteth-20 (Emulsifier), Cyclomethicone (Emollient), Prunus ...

...few weeks away. Soon the air will be filled with those traditional Christmas sounds - sleigh bells ringing, carol singers singing, families arguing...
Pretty much every Christmas I get given a bottle of Body Shop Peppermint Foot Lotion (is someone trying to tell me something?). To borrow sparkydog's description, the lotion comes in a typical Body Shop urine-collection type bottle. As far as I know there are 3 different size bottles - a titchy 100ml ... ...it cost around £4. The bottle has a little nozzle so that you can squeeze out the amount of lotion you want.
According to The Body Shop website, peppermint foot lotion was invented for marathon runners in order to refresh their hot, tired feet. I have to admit that I don't use the foot lotion after marathons - in fact the last time I can remember running at all was in 1991. My feet tend to get hot and tired after walking around in town for an hour, ...

...along with other products in the range such as the foot scrub and cooling spray. This lotion is used by people running the London Marathon every year.
The bottle is clear plastic with a flip top lid. The lotion needs to be squeezed out and this can be quite hard so give the bottle a few gentle shakes but be careful that too much doesn't come out. The label is blue and has The Body Shop logo on it with a footprint and "Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion." ... ...rather eye catching. The cream itself is a pretty baby pink colour and this works well against the blue of the label. Obviously it smells minty lol but it is a lovely natural mint smell. ...know I love most of The Body Shop Products, so thought I'd give you a run down on the Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion.
I was bought this by my son, as well as other foot treatments, (I think he wants to tell me something)
I must admit I do tend to wear trainers a lot, and I prefer not to wear socks, so when I remove them at the end of the day, they are a bit pongy and sweaty !!
First the colour, you would expect something with a name like this ... ...(If you are any of the wiser, let me know)
The Price £6.00, but it lasts ages.
Smell, obviously peppermint which is quite strong, and a slight almondy whiff as well.
I think the best time to use this would be after bathing, that's when I use it anyway, then your feet are already soft.
I tend to use everything in large amounts, i'm heavy handed with everything, but you only need a small amount of this, into the palm of your hand, then simply massage ...

Advantages: Great for hot sweaty feet Disadvantages: None
I went to the Reading music festival some years ago with my friend Karen. We shared a tent in baking temperatures, and it got pretty sweaty by morning. The main problem with these pop festivals is the difficulty of keeping clean. We took baby wipes, which were very good, but our feet were hot and sweaty most of the time, particularly with wearing trainers and big boots. Fortunately Karen had packed some Body Shop Peppermint Foot Lotion, which spays ...

...my hot tired feet with the Body Shop's Peppermint Foot Lotion. It is a rich lotion which moisturises and softens hard skin (great for summer when feet are out on show). The minty bit of it helps cool skin as well as helping with foot odour. I have tried other companies variations on this theme, but the Body Shop's one has to be the best. Its not very expensive at about £3, depending on what size bottle you buy. Its very good value for money. ...

This must be the Body Shop's all-time bestseller, mainly because it's absolutely gorgeous. It is also a great treat for your feet if you've been on them all day (or even if you haven't).

My only concern about the product is the price, which can be prohibitively expensive. I suppose you could always buy an occasional small bottle as an indulgent treat, or put it on your Christmas list. Thankfully, I received my last two bottles as gifts. ...

...been using this lotion since the late eighties and I now I would never be without it. It promises to "cool and revive tired feet" and "help soften dry, rough skin".
