Advantages Advantages Covers blemishes well, soothing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not many shades available

I've always used foundation to cover up my spots which, now that i think about it, was a pretty stupid idea! foundation only clogs the pores on ur face and makes them worse. i dont even trust foundations like Neutrogena that claim to clear the skin while covering it up with great big splodges of creamy foundation. i went to the body shop to find an alternative solution. there must be a way of covering up spots while treating it at the same time. the assistant at the body shop took me through the tea tree range which helped specifically to combat spots. there was tea tree foundation, compact ... more

Advantages Advantages It's Tea Tree Oil - disinfects, cleanses and moisturises

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a long lasting cure

Luckily for me I don't usually suffer from spots but now and again one will appear and usually at the most inconvenient time, oh the inconsiderate timing! However, this is where The Body Shop comes to the rescue yet again with this fantastic and nifty little knight in shining armour. Well, ok, it's unisex and it doesn't shine, rather comes packaged in green, the trademark colour of the company... ...but anyway, after a long night where one can't be bothered to wipe off ones make up or after pigging out on oily foods, the risk of spots inevitably lingers; and where there's a spot there is the ... more

Advantages Advantages fairly cheap and effective, does not dry skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages not effective when blemishes are new, shade may not suit your skin colour.

My bad acne always has a sad ending - it will almost certainly scar another part of my face until I discover The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Cover stick. I have been carrying this with me in my pouch for about 2 years now and I must say it has help me through very bad times. I will be honest and say that this product does not help very much when the acne is new. Well, at least not for me. I only use it when the acne is a few days old and is close to 'bursting' point. At this point, the skin is the most sensitive and applying any acne cream that dries the skin will most likely scar it. The tea tree ... more

    Advantages Advantages covers spots

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive

As people who have read many of my earlier ops will know, I have suffered with problem skin since my early teens. Even though my skin is a lot better now, I do still get the odd spot. You can usually guarantee that if I am planning a night out or going somewhere special a big red spot will rear its ugly head in the days running up to it. I have used the body shop tea tree covered stick for a while now and find it to be very useful on big ugly spots. This cover stick looks very much like a lip stick. It has a light green lid which pulls off the top and by twisting the bottom of the stick the ... more

    Advantages Advantages covers dark undereyes

Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive only two shades doesnt really work

I have a few spots all the time and during winter, my skin is quite pale and and spots and blemish are much more visible, so I wanted to cover them. I have read many great reviews on this cover stick. I was particularly excited about it as it says it also heals spots. the price is quite high but I though if it works, it's totally worth it. One of disadvantages is that there are only tho shades. I chose the ligther one, but it's a bit too light, but if apply foundation after it's ok. However.. it doesnt really work. at lest not on blemish, doesnt really good at covering, it;s very obvious that ... more

    Advantages Advantages Pleasant and convenient

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the cheapest option

This pleasant, antiseptic smelling wand comes packaged in green, reflecting the green ethics of the Body shop company. Magically, this little wand dries up spots quickly.Like a mascara wand, the stick is easy to hold and easy to apply. The tea tree smell is pleasantly medicinal but not too strong and does not linger on you as the gel dries on your spot. Although a really angry spot is going to take a few days of application of the stick,it is best used when a spot is just coming up so it can be stopped quick. I would think the tea tree gel would be ok for most skins although if you have sensitive ... more
