Advantages Advantages Moisturises, Banishes dry skin, Gentle, Product lasts for ages!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing!

I have been suffering from dry skin, particularly around the eye areas for a few months now, as the weather has turned colder. The skin around my eye's can become itchy and dry and my eyelids often look a little flaky. I have tried other moisturisers but these have made no difference and sometimes make's my skin sore. I knew The Body Shop sold some fantastic skin care products so I visited my local store to see what they could recommend. ***THE MOISTURE MASK*** I explained my problem to the very helpful lady in the shop, and she took me over to the Vitamin E range and suggested a few products ... more

Advantages Advantages Moisturising, doesn't dry out and crack.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Where do I start? Stung, save your money and use your night cream!

I got this product in a gift set, only a small sample size but that was enough for me. This is one of the few Body Shop products that I really don't like, bet you weren't expecting that were you! This is a facemask but unlike most that need washing off or peeling off this one doesn't. You can wipe off the excess with a tissue if you want but the rest is just left to sink in, as the name would suggest. The Body Shops Vitamin E range is for all skin types so is meant to suit everyone, but don't get too excited! I have combination skin and this was too heavy for my T zone so anyone with oily skin ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy to apply

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price, appearance, far too greasy

Why I Purchased This Product: *********************************** This was another of my many beauty product Birthday gifts that I received earlier this year, and one that it’s taken me a while to try out because I’ve already been working my way through another face mask (that I have already reviewed). This particular product was chosen for me because I absolutely love The Body Shops Vitamin E facial wash. I love it because it’s gentle on the skin and leaves your face feeling ultra clean. Anything that makes the dull old task of washing your face more exciting is top in my books! The Products ... more

Advantages Advantages It does what it sets out to do just not much more.

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's not the best moisture face mask out there.

The Body Shop Vitamin E sink-in moisture mask I bought this product over the Christmas period when between the weather, the usual seasonal stress and decorating my flat my skin was far from its best condition. I went out looking for a bit of a skin pick me up and a nice soothing treat. The body shop in general is a great place to shop with a huge range of different skincare products, make-up supplies and tonnes of special treats such as the moisture soak face mask I purchased. --The how to bit-- I’m sure that everyone knows what to do with a face mask but here are my hints and tips anyway. It ... more

Advantages Advantages Make skin smooth, supple and deeply moisturised. Goes on well. Value for money.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

Although I have oily skin, I feel that I need to moisturise regularly to help improve its appearance. I usually use The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Moisture Cream, but on a recent visit to The Body Shop website, I noticed Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Mask. I had been looking for a mask anyway, so I thought I’d give this a go – I’m glad I did. I have to admit that I was rather surprised to find 3 reviews on Ciao that were all rather negative about this product. However, there’s one point that I sort of agree with and that’s the price. A 100ml tub costs £10, which for a mask is quite expensive. But, you ... more

    Advantages Advantages Moisturises. Smells nice.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Tingles. Sticky.

I received a 20ml sample of this in a set as a gift and have saved it until my usual mask ran out. I thought it was about time I gave it a try and here's what I thought of it. The mask reminds me of a very thick night cream that doesn't absorb very easily. It's light pink in colour and smells slightly of roses. Putting it on is straight forward enough - I just smeared it on like any other face mask. There are no special precautions such as avoiding eyes written on my sample pot but I decided it was probably best to avoid the area directly under my eyes. When I first applied the mask it all got ... more

Advantages Advantages Smell, effect on skin

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesnt dry immediately

I have slightly sensitive skin - sometimes I get eczema on my forehead but otherwise I have average skin. I have occasional breakouts but in the main relatively clear skin but slightly dry. This sink in mask sits well on my skin - not greasy like some moisturizers but it doesnt dry immediately. I usually use it overnight (i.e. put on before I go to bed and use a face wipe in the morning) and sometimes on days I will not be wearing makeup. I only use about 2 pea size amounts and this is more than enough. The effect on my skin is really noticeable, in my opinion this is the best moisturizer in ... more

Advantages Advantages effective for rehydrating your skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit on the sticky side

I actually really like this product. I have oily skin but this does a good job of rehydrating it and leaving it soft and healthy looking. The only reason I took off the 5th star is because I do find it quite greasy to apply and it leaves your hands a bit sticky (all you need to do is rinse them, of course). It's easy to apply and a lot goes a long way. I find most of it soaks up into my skin (especially on my cheeks where I suppose it's drier) but it's always good to rinse it off so that you don't get any residue/grease left on your face. I often put mine on at night and leave it until the ... more
