...II is loosely based around the Godfather trilogy including characters from the film, related storylines and just about enough violence, gumbas and vintage cars to keep you entertained!
PLOT - The story is based around your character Dominic who has been promoted up through the ranks from the last game to position of boss to look after the Corleone family. Michael Corleone makes an appearance as your advisor as his character is having to lay low ... ...You play Dominic, the original character from the first game. He has no resemblence to any character portrayed on the films.
Michael Corleone - Al Pacino did not lend his likeness or voice to the game therefore the Michael you see in the game only bears similarities to the Godfather character. Hyman Roth - Likeness and voice taken from the films which adds to the reality of the whole thing. Played like in the film by Lee Strasberg. His jewish mob ...

Advantages: +Strategy side of it is fun +Entertaining game Disadvantages: -Quite Easy
Background
The game starts off in Cuba, you meet characters from the movie such as Roth, Michael and Fredo Corleone and also Aldo, the first game's main character. eventually a web of deceit and betrayal unfolds and you have to defeat other families. This unfolds over three areas, New York, Florida and Cuba. you start off able to access all of New York, but have to unlock Florida and then Cuba.
The game roughly follows the storyline of the 2nd ... ...opinion as it allows all the game to be set in one time and allows a fluent storyline to be established.
Presentation and gameplay
The graphics aren't bad, they aren't anything special but they aren't bad. The characters are recognisable (Pacino's face isn't used for the character of Michael, yet the others bear a likeness, even vocally). Music plays in the background including the movie soundtrack. Advantages: Good Maps, Don's View Disadvantages: Too Short; Very few 'missions', Player is unable to jump
The Godfather 2 can not be described in any genre. It has obvious RPG/Adventure elements in that it's free-roaming however with no mission strands and a fairly small map it can't quite be defined as that. Due to the Don's View it may be thought of as a strategic game? This again is not quite right as Strategy does not take up quite enough of the gameplay. The game could be defined as a shooter? It has shooting elements but again not quite enough ... ...a man named Aldo Trapani, the prequel's protagonist and your character alongside several Don's and an entrepreneur style figure named Hyman Roth. The 'party' is crashed and you start an escape. This mission is one of only a few in the game. This is without a doubt one of the flaws of the Godfather 2. There is too much 'take over this racket' and 'go to the phone' rather than real missions. What makes this more annoying is how EA tease us with very ...
