    There seem to be loads of low GI diets around at the moment, but I think this is probably the best one out there. Patrick Holford has been advocating a well balanced diet for years, including eating slightly more protein than the average Westerner usually consumes, so it seems to be a little more than a passing phase, and this shows. It has some very well thought out recipes, and a system for producing your own menu plans without excessive carbohydrate intake.     I recently found out I have PCOS which can be managed by balancing your blood sugar. PCOS makes it hard to lose weight and even though I was eating healthily and going to gym classes 4-5 times a week I actually gained weight. I decided to look into how I could balance my blood sugar and came across this book. Patrick explains things very clearly at the beginning of the book and how GL is more accurate measure of GI.
