Now the L word is one of those programmes that I didn't watch on TV but was always told how good it was so when I gained an Amazon voucher I decided to treat myself to it and see what all the fuss was about. ...last time! This series about the lives and loves, and the just sexual relations, of a group of lesbian girls in LA is much more than just a show about homosexual life style. After the first few episode I found my self really caring about what would happen to the characters. I was thinking more and more about what would happen with Beths and Tinas pregnancy project, or weather or not Shane would open up to her friends, and less about the whole sexuallity-issue. ...
...me, Karina Lombard makes Marina the most attractive women on earth in this series - her eyes and the body language she gives Marina is beautifull. I found the series captivating, and I love the way they don't make homosexual life style or homosexual love into a "thing", they just show it for what it is. Although, well, to be honest, is there any group of people, homo or hetero, in which everyone is so perfectly beautifull as this group? ...

...on mainstream American TV, but the L Word goes a long way towards changing that. Money has been spent making the set and characters look good, and a well written script finishes off a well rounded programme. Every character has a different trait, and a different look - there is something for every taste here! Personally, I like the fact this show covers loads of different angles - from drag kings and bisexuality to artificial insemination, birth ...
...can actually relate some of the storylines to your own life. In fact, it's a bit like a gay Friends, but without the namby-pambyness of the characters and poor 'humerous' script. It's a show which makes you want the next episode to be on immediately, and once your friends see it they'll be hooked too. If you try something once - try this - it won't disappoint. ...
