I am going to talk about the very first lord of the rings book, The fellowship of the ring part one. This book, has a great deal of adventure in, and doesn't lack in description. If anyone has read this book, im sure they would agree that this book may have a bit tooo much description in. Description is good, but when you get too explaining every blade of grass to the last detail you may get bored. this boxset is the three books in one which is good so you dont have to go out and buy them all!but generally they r good books much better than harry potter and they really capture your imagination. They have a much better looking cover than the old ones more adult if you like. It contains the fellowship of the ring, the two towers, the return of the king which all make the Lord of the Rings which have recently been made into films one for each book. i have read loads of books and they are usually war ones or biograghys but this is possibly the best i have ever read. you havent read a book ... more

One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them. One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. i already watch the first one but not yet the two other. so it is good to read the book. since it is three in one it is affordable. when you read the book, you still can watch cd or dvd for the movie but it is good to have the book because, since it is a book, your imagination works on how it will happen, your brain will works in it. This is a good deal. i got this myself and i loved it. i think everyone should get these books. They are a get way to spead time with yourself getting into a good book. Here i very cheap i got mine at a different company and i was ripppppped off! which i was not too happy about as you could see. The story itself is great the cover looks good and the whole way its written will have you stuck in it for weeks. This is a brilliant three book box set for all ages and minds that like a good adventure. They are all action packed with some interesting features that most people would love to read. With a lot of characters there are so many different problems to be solved going on throughout the three fantastic books. You may think that it is too long for you but I'm sure that the time readng it will just fly by as you are captured in an amazing fantasy of the Lord of the Rings collection. Now these books will appeal to all ages and fan types from followers to people who have just heard the title. I hate the cliche 'no as good as the book' but this is no truer than for this. The shear detail the J.R.R.Tolkein go's through is surreal. It has sceans that even the extended movies don't contain it shows sides of the characters that the movies don't. It simply takes you away and it is hard to put the book down. If you are reading it for yourself its but for parents who are trying to get their children interested in literature of you want to read them bed time story's this is perfect ... more
