In my opinion the greatest strength of this game lies in the skirmish mode. Here you can create the battles that you dreamed of while watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy, with inticate and exciting base building and area based resource gathering , these battles can be vast engagements between whatever armies and races you choose and are often extremely enjoyable and thoroughly replayable. The Battle for Middle Earth 2 was one of my most eagerly awaited purchases to buy for the 360 , In the era of the RTS - real time strategy , EA created the game based on the Epic Lords of the Rings Trilogy. The game is not based on the books I have read or the Movie's I have seen. This game allows you to be both the good and the evil forces from tolkien's world, and it takes part at other battles not in the original book. There are 6 armies for you to control, Dwarves, Men of the West and Elves on the good side and Goblins, Mordor and Isengard for the evil side. But the best bit is the xbox live multiplayer. Battle with a friend to see who is the best commander or team up and defeat many other commanders around the world.
