I was almost put off this book as it has been compared to Jodi Picoults books. I really am not a fan of Picoults style of writing at all and to read another author who has been compared to her would not make for good reading in my opinion! However, I am so glad that I picked this book up! I can see why there has been a comparison ...

Advantages: This is a great book to get lost in! Disadvantages: None
...but what drew me to the book was the statement on the back of the book that states "for fans of Jodi Picoult this is a must read". As I had recently read 'My Sister's Keeper ' and 'Vanishing Acts ' by Picoult and enjoyed them both I thought that I would give Ms Chamberlain a try. I have to say that I wasn't disappointed and from around the middle of the book, I found it impossible to put down, it was a case of making the kids meals and serving them ... ...to change her identity after the kidnapping of Genevieve Russell, the pregnant wife of the Governor of North Carolina, in 1977 goes dreadfully wrong. Over twenty years later, when the remains of Genevieve are discovered and there is no sign of her unborn child, Timothy Gleason is charged with her murder. CeeCee is now known as Eve and Eve knows how Genevieve died and exactly what happened to the missing baby. She knows that Timothy Gleason is innocent ...
