Ok, I heard all the hype about this book, so I thought I had to get it. Turns out, the hype was right (for once)!!
This book is amazing, a real insight to another way of living. It's about a lawyer called Julian Mantle who collapses in a courtroom and decides to change his life. He comes back from a trip to India and starts to relay his story to his friend John. The book is full of facts, but is written in a fiction way. Real good stuff!!

The monk who sold his ferrari, is one book which really makes you re evaluate your life and look at things in a slightly more indepth way.
The high flying lawyer, earning a packet, but also under a huge amount of stress, suddenly has a heart attack at a young age. This obviously came as quite a shock and made me make some life changing decisions.
He leaves his wife, his job and pretty much everything he know to search for a better life. He end ... ...about life how to make the most of it. After spending some time with the monks he decided to go home and carry on spreading the teachings that he had learnt. He go to see one of his colleges and begins to tell him the story of his travels. Not only does the lawyer teach his college where he was going wrong in life. It teaches you the reader.
This book does not preach in any way, merely puts forward some different points of view, which are difficult ...

...that i would feel all the better for it in the long run . I had been feeling astonishingly depressed and disillusioned having just completed my university education, and anxious to the point of sickness about making the next few decisions which would inevitably start to form the beginnings of my adult life. I had major life changing decisions to make about home, money, work and relationships, and although i often used reading as an escape from the ... ...be the sort of person to actively peruse wellness goals in my life, least of all through books.... But one truth can be told, this book lifted my spirits in a way that is only usually acheived through a talk with a best friend, or a change in the weather from stormy to sunshine. Advantages: simple in language, cohesive and intresting Disadvantages: somewhat short

He travelled far away to the Himalayas where he met the ancient sages of sivana and gathered wisdom about the life and how it's to be lived.He had to practise chastity and leave about the worldly vices. When he returns to his homeplace, he is not the same Julian Mantle but a transformed one. He then guides another friend of his to satisfaction in his life.
