Advantages: Quick to inflate Disadvantages: Cover may not be sufficient for the winter months
...are not working, we like the odd occasional night out, and normally that would involve dropping Ben off to a baby sitters and all the hassle that goes with it. Sometimes Ben is all up for the idea of going to nanny and granddad's and when we first get there he's fine, but when we go to leave he doesn't want to stay, so it's the usual persuasion and then when we do leave, neither of us enjoy ourselves because we feel guilty for leaving him.
We decided ... ...so we did that in the form of one of Steph's younger sisters, she was happy enough to do this as it meant she would earn a little bit of cash to get credit for her phone and for magazines and make up!!
The problem was we only have a two bedroom flat with only two beds, so where would she sleep? The first few times she came to baby-sit Ben, she would sleep on the sofa, but it isn't exactly comfortable, its creeks like mad and the cushions are kind ...

*** The READY BED ***
Quite simply the Ready Bed is an inflatable bed, that gets inflated inside a sleeping bag. When the bed is not inflated it all fits neatly into a lightweight storage bag that can be carried over the shoulder. *** ... ...I was more concerned about the age range that was recommended for usage .. which brings me nicely on to ….
*** The AGE ***
The box states that children from the age of three up can use the Ready Bed. The lower limit of three is a good age, any younger then they would be totally lost in the sleeping bag, and could perhaps slip down whilst sleeping which could be dangerous. So .. three years and up can use the bed … hmmmm … I really ...

...and had to sleep on the floor because of lack of bedspace within the house. Well my daughter is reaching the age now where she wants her friends to stay and I was determined to have enough beds to accomodate all. We had a look round in the shops at the various range of campbeds and blow-up beds before settling on "The Ready Bed".
My daughter could hardly contain her excitement when she saw the range that was available and in the end we decided on ... ...determined that she would be the first to test it out that very night. If you had seen how many there were available to chose from now, including Babie, Thomas the Tank Engine and disney designs you would realise why it took us so long to settle on this one. There is something there to suit any childs taste!
The ready bed comes deflated (obviously!) in its own nylon bag and is approximately five feet long by two feet wide and it comes complete with ...

Advantages: quick, simple to use and encourages kids to lay in! Disadvantages: none
The last comic I bought for my son had an advert on the back page for 'ready-beds' inflatable, portable sleep systems designed just for children. Basically they are inflatable sleeping bags that inflate in four minutes. This is a great idea as my little boy is getting a bit big for the travel cot and it offers the perfect alternative solution. Great to keep at the grandparents house!
Features:-
Quickflate(R) valve air bed for rapid inflation/deflation. ... ...ages 3 to 7 years.
The ready beds come in various themes for both boys and girls such as Fimbles, Allsports, Bang On The Door, Flowers & Butterflies, Noddy, Winnie the Pooh, Barbie, Spiderman, Disney Princess, Thomas The Tank Engine etc. The ready bed costs about £29.99 and can be purchased online from many stores as well high street toy shops.
I can also see the benefits of the ready bed once my little boy - whose nearly 3 - starts having friends ...

...year old daughter, and Bob the Builder for my 5 year old son.
Both my children were very excited and couldn't wait to try the beds out.
The literature promises that you can blow the bed up, using the hand pump within 4 minutes - this was true - and very easy to accomplish.
The bed has an inner part that is inflatable, and fits inside a snug fleecey sleeping bag. You can blow it up full - which in my view is a little hard. My children prefer it ... ...feel was down to all the jumping she did on it), and we just haven't been able to locate where it is (the bed does come with a puncture repair kit). However we were able to take the inflatable bed from my son's and place inside my daughter sleeping bag.
My son loves to sleep in just the sleeping bag, and finds that most comfortable, although I fear not warm enough for winter.
Details : -
The bed is approximately 155 x 67 x 20cm.

Advantages: Easy to fold away & store when not in use. A good idea! Disadvantages: puncture far to easily & although a good idea in theory VERY poor quality .
...old daughter to stay at the weekends, but i was so so wrong!
I have had nothing but trouble with them. The first one after the 1st few uses split at 1 of the seams so i bought a repait kit to try & fix the problem, but because of where it had split this wasn't possible & is soon as i pumped it up the air came straight out again!
The second ready bed split in exactly the same place & i didnt even try to fix it as i aleady know it will be a waste ... ...Another problem i found with the bed is that 7 out of 10 times whenever my partners little girl rolled over so did the bed , so in the end we had to put teddies all around the outside to stop this just so the poor little mite could get a nights sleep!
We have no given up on this idea as these beds or so "RUBBISH"!!! His little girl is now shareing a bed with my daughter until we put our money toghther & buy good quality benkbeds for our girls!
