The Product = = = = = = = Sanctuary Spa treats thousands of women every year at their iconic home in London's Convent Garden where they have been helping woman relax and rejuvenate for more than thirty five years. They have a large range of beauty products that are available to buy to help keep woman's skin glowing and healthy looking. The product I am reviewing is part of the Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden range which can be purchased at a number of different places. The product is a salt scrub bar which contains natural sea salt, loofah and softening sweet almond and evening primrose oils ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be harsh for 1st few applications

After finding all The Sanctuary range on here, I thought I would continue my theme and review all the Sanctuary products I have used. Salt Scrub Bar The Sanctuary Salt Scrub Bar, which is orange, is basically a bar of soap but with a bit of a difference. It is an exfoliating soap which contains loofah and sea salt which is designed to exfoliate your skin. The loofah and sea salt are obvious ingredients in the bar as it has a sort of grainy texture to it. Other ingredients include Evening Primrose Oil and Almond Oil which are designed to moisturise your skin after it has been exfoliated. It is ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be drying, definitely need a moisturiser after use

Having just reviewed The Sanctuarys Creamy Body Wash and trying to get in that review how good I thought all the other Sanctuary products were, I decided to look for a couple more of my favourites on here and this is one of them. I received the Salt Scrub Bar in a gift set about a year ago and popped it away in the cupboard as it didn't really appeal to me. I already used the Sanctuary Salt Scrub and Body Scrub and loved them, so didn't really see the need for another product of this type. Receiving it again in another gift set this year (I get about 2 every year as everyone knows how much I ... more

For those who have never heard of them, The Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden is an exclusive ladies only day spa. To enable you to enjoy the spa experience at home they have launched a range of products ranging from self tan and footcare to scented candles and bathrobes. They even do travel size bottles so you can take it on your holidays. Sanctuary products are easily recognisable. The bottles are mainly transparent (showing the contents) or white and have a bright orange click down top dispenser covered by a safety cap. Their logo is a white fish on an orange circle with the Sanctuary Spa ... more

    User doesn't recommend the product

Advantages Advantages Subtle smell, exfoliates well, convenient form

Disadvantages Disadvantages The price, not that moisturising

The Sanctuary is a wonderful day spa for ladies in Covent Garden in London. They sell a range of good quality products that are also available in Boots The Chemist, and I have been a fan of their products for a number of years now. One of the most well known products is the Sanctuary Salt Scrub, which is excellent but can be rather messy and difficult to apply; you also really need to soak in the bath afterwards, as it doesn't rinse off that easily under the shower. Imagine my delight, therefore, when The Sanctuary introduced the Salt Scrub bar. I assumed that this would give much the same ... more
