The Sims 2: Nightlife Expansion Pack (PC)

In a nutshell:The second expansion pack for The Sims 2 makes the Sims' pleasure your leisure. It adds in a special new neighbourhood called Downtown, packed to the gills with... more...restaurants, bowling alleys, shops, parks, karaoke bars and clubs. You can visit them alone, go in a group, or take that special Sim out for a dream date. The lowdown:Whether you're trying to organise a romantic date for two or a boisterous girls night out, your time spent in Downtown is constantly being appraised: commit one faux pas too many, and the timer will run out and you'll be left with a deflated Sim and an inflated drinks bills. Your Sim can now scope out a room to check for compatible partners, while other more random additions include a new "pleasure life" aspiration, cars, garages and, rather oddly, vampires. Most exciting moment:Engineering the perfect date and getting an extra use out of your new car. Ooh, and indeed, er.Since you ask:Not counting online title World of WarCraft, The Sims 2 is the best selling PC game in the world ever. The bottom line:Another generously stacked expansion pack for your little computer people. Harrison Dent The Sims 2 Nightlife takes Sims into the night to explore all of their favorite after-dark activities. Players can either head out and discover their love lives or have a crazy night out with friends. With the new dating gameplay, players will see if their Sims have chemistry with others which will determine their romantic fate. The newest addition to the game includes the brand new pleasure seeker aspiration allowing players to explore a life filled with unforgettable dates, endless nights of dancing and fine dining. Make your Sims nightlife fantasy a reality with over 125 new objects including a DJ booth, Electro Dance Sphere and all you need to design the ultimate nightclub and VIP lounge.Requires full Sims 2 game, available on DVD or CD format.

Night-time for The Sims

Advantages: Brilliant fun, Lovely Graphics, More Items
Disadvantages: Run Out Of Dosh

Nightlife, possibly the most waited and most wanted expansion pack for ANY of The Sims games, now hits our shelves, with more than what it say's on the tin. Before I get into the gritty parts of the game, I must make clear that it is an expansion pack, made to add things on to the original. You WILL need The Sims 2 to play this. That said, let's get on with it. Nightlife boasts one of the biggest features that Sims fan's everywhere could ever have ...
...and the fun of the game has increased by a longhaul. The biggest downside with the Sim games before was that however hard you tried or looked, you could never actually buy a car for your Sim and see him reverse it down his driveway. A shame as it was, Maxis, the creators of the series, thought that it would be good to finally grant the wisher's of gamers Worldwide. The Sims 2: Nightlife, finally gives you that freedom. Your Sim can now purchase a ...

The must have sims 2 pack!

Advantages: downtown area, new interaction and characters
Disadvantages: none

...bought my own copy of the Sims 2 game I knew I wanted this expansion pack with it, so I bought the new Sims 2 deluxe pack which includes both games on one DVD rom disc. The reason I wanted this one so much is that I think it's important to own it if you want to get full enjoyment out of the Sims 2 as it has so much to offer on it. It was originally released in September 2005, around a year after the Sims 2 was released. It's a big expansion pack ...
...other sims, then this is the expansion pack you need. As well as new random characters, there's also vampires, DJs and gypsy matchmakers. Matchmakers can be used to set up sims on a blind date, or to buy love potions and vampire healing potions. With this expansion pack, sims can be bitten by vampires and become vampires themselves. Once you have a vampire sim, they can bite family members and friends too. Owning a family of vampires is great fun ...

Time to party!

Advantages: Fantastic graphics, more sim interactions, new items, fashionable clothes at last.
Disadvantages: Can take a long time to load...

I've been a fan of The Sims sinse I was about 13 and would play it for hours on end... well ok, days on end, but why not!? It's definately my favourite game of all time and when The Sims 2 was released I think I liked it even more. And now every 6 months or so an expansion pack is released, but my favourite so far is Nightlife. Not only because of there being more objects, but because it adds a little more realism to the game. Usually your sims can ...
...but now they can leave the original map and go "downtown" or to a town that you've created yourself (although this can be a lengthy task). Your sims can even do this with friends and not just members of their family! And the best thing about all this is that your sims can now drive there in their own car that you buy from the catalog!! The game only comes with the choice of a few cars with different colour variations, but it is now possible to download ...

Brilliant expansion to a brilliant game!

Advantages: The Sims go dating and clubbing!
Disadvantages: Time slips by too quickly when playing!

Anyone familiar with the Sims or the Sims 2 will know that every time an expansion pack comes out, regular players/addicts are very curious to see what your sims are able to get up to next. This time, we are not disappointed in the slightest. The best thing that has been added in is that your Sims no longer live in their own little world in their house - you can now add in the background and see your neighbourhood, and even interact with it! No ...
...can all be done through the main game - brilliant and about time! In terms of the game, the addition of University allowed your Sims to grow up at an additional stage and enjoy the fun(?) of going and getting an, albeit, American style degree. Now though, you can go on proper dates which are measured for success like parties, go DJing in clubs, go out for a meal and get a special item that will allow you to change your Sims wants! The game has ...

The New Nightlife

Advantages: Adds more gameplay
Disadvantages: Can slow up things a lot

The expansion pack now brings in a whole new and exciting location for your seems to visit! Not just at night but in the day as well, of course there's more going on at night. This Expansion pack is great for those vampire sims that hate being stuck indoors all day. ...bowling or even go to the dance club. But a town isn't the only thing that has been added, you can now get cars, from flashy cars, to rundown cars, to family cars. Your sims will now have new pleasure life aspirations, along with new attraction system and dating meter. Overall this game is worth buying, although it can run slow at times, I would suggest it to any of my friends! ...

Rock and Roll all Night, and party every day

Advantages: Lots of new Toys for your Sims
Disadvantages: The attraction system is complicated

This is the second expansion pack for the Sims 2. I bought it soon after it came out, and I'm very happy so far. The expansion pack doesn't alter the key gameplay for the Sims 2, what it really does it provide new, fun locations - a complete new downtown for each neighbourhood, and lots and lots of fun new toys. Best of all, the Sims can now own their own cars ! - no more waiting for Taxis, you can now select where you want to go as soon as you ...
...to load and then the lot you want to visit. Most fun of all is that consenting adults can also WooHoo in their cars (Ohhh matron) The expansion pack is expensive in the shops, but there are deals out there in cyberspace. I recommend that you get the Sims 2 main game, and then take some time to learn it before deciding on any expansions. However, if you already own the Sims 2 and/or the University expansion pack this is a great addition to the game. ...

Nightlife

Advantages: Good way for your sims to get out and escape day to day sim life
Disadvantages: i expected it to be busier?

The sims 2 nightlife...what a good idea, rather than having the parties at your house and have half the people not turn up, you go to the party instead! Whether it's going out to a club, woohooing in the photo booth, enoying an expensive meal, or smooching on the dance floor, this game has it. Escape the daily chores, escape the screaming kids, just hire a nanny and off you go(but please remember to hire the nanny or your kids wil get taken away...) ...
...the more you play, the more it gets used to loading it up, sounds are good too. My only niggling point with this game(which seems a rather silly one, but I'll write it anyway) is that I would expect the clubs and restaurants to have more sims in? They only have a selected few wandering sims. ...
