Hey, mother-in-law, lets like paaartaaaay, dude...

Advantages: Makes The Sims even more addictive
Disadvantages: You'll waste even more of your life playing someone elses.

...on familiar territory. This is the second of the expansion packs made for The Sims. The first was Livin’ It Up (Livin’ Large in the US), and since I don’t have it, I can’t review it, so straight on to add-on pack number two. For those people who haven’t played The Sims (or read my op), here’s a brief explanation of how the game works. If you’ve read my other op, I apologize for this blatant and wanton plagiarisation, ...
...****Brief Recap**** In the game, you take control of a household. You can create your Sims, decide whether they’re adults or children, choose their gender, skin tone, face and clothes, give them a name, and determine their character. Once you’re happy with them, you decide whether there are more members in the family (maximum 6), or whether they live alone. The main game screen is an overhead view of the house and garden. There are ...

Party's over here

Advantages: Fun
Disadvantages: None

The follow up to the fantastic add on pack The Sims: Livin' Large. The second fabulous and hopefully not the last add on pack to the smash game: The Sims. It was most definately one of the best games last year and with this add on pack it was revived to last through this year too. This game is good for all sims addicts or ex-sim addicts to revive their flagging passion for all things sim. This new add on pack is no where near as great as the first ...
...noticed that I hardly use the new objects and furniture from this pack though. Not because I isn't fantstic but because its so expensive and draining to hold a lot of parties. My sims have to work really hard to afford a successful party and then they have it and it takes days to get back to normal again. After a party my sims have little money (pay for the Dj booth, caterers, new seating etc), are very uncomfortable, tired and usually in need of ...

Advantages: Adds more variety to the original
Disadvantages: Can still get a little repetative

This expansion pack, is the third addition to the original game, The Sims. You must have The Sims installed, for this expansion to work. For those of you that do not know, The Sims is a God game. You build and decorate houses, create families and live your Sims lives for them. You make all the decisions, and you decide their every move. If the original game, was becoming boring for you, then this will provide a whole new lease of life. From the ...
...*100+ new objects The new objects that this game provides, all enhance the game play, and the interactibility between the Sims. They also provide more ways, for your sims to make friends. Making friends is important, and these new objects, make it easier. Some new objects included are: *A mechanical bull. This is quite large, so make sure you have enough room. Your sims can ride the bull, on three different levels, easy, medium and hard. It is ...

Sim-ply the best party!!

Advantages: Loads to keep you busy
Disadvantages: none

The Sims House Party Expansion Pack for the pc For all those megalomaniacs out there, you already probably know that The Sims series of games is an excellent way to indulge in a little bit of playing God! For those of you out there that do not know what The Sims is…Where have you been!? The original Sims game was a brilliant concept. You have a neighbourhood in which you have complete and utter control over. You can build and design houses down ...
...the halls and what floor covering you put down in your living rooms and you can even design your garden and build a swimming pool too! Then you BUY! Your Sims start off with a budget of 20 000 simoleons in which you have the cost of the plot of land you buy, the cost of building your house and then the cost of decorating it. What you decide to put in your house is entirely up to you! The best part about the Sims is that you get to design your own ...

Toga party anyone?

Advantages: Non stop partying action, moves Sims away from the mundane
Disadvantages: Very hard to keep your Sim in employment as they're always tired and hungover

...LOVE simulation games. And the best simulation games of all are the ones where you get to boss little people around and make them do exactly what you want, and not get in trouble for it! Which is why I love the Sims in all its various forms. The original Sims game was released a few years ago by Maxis and was a huge success. However, it soon became clear that it would quickly prove to be boring, and so a series of add-ons followed in quick succession. ...
...to the Sims, following on from Living It Up, which was, quite frankly, not much of an add-on at all. All you got was the ability to choose from a few different jobs and bits and pieces of furniture. Hardly ground breaking stuff. But then House Party was released, and it took the Sims up a level. Well, providing you’re really not interested in the boring, mundane side of The Sims (working, cleaning the house, eating…etc) and are more into meeting ...

More More I Want MORE

Advantages: Good add on pack
Disadvantages: Are there too many

The Sims are back with their second expansion pack. This one follows on from 'Livin' it Up' by adding even more to your game. How do they do it? If you're looking at this add-on for longevity, then you won't quite get it from this expansion pack. Not as much as 'Livin' It Up' had to offer anyway. Yes. This pack does add more features to your Sims lives. Including the usual, more objects, skins, decorations and other designs. All this in a 'party' ...
...right party mood. The new objetcs and other interactive features added are fun to watch. Especially when trying to hold on to a bucking bronco on the hardest level. Unless they've gut superhuman body skill, they'll be sent flying off by the angry, robotic machine. Sims can now try to impress as a DJ, using the home system. Which includes several new music stations to suit their party's themes. Also to suit, there's a trunk of fancy-dress cosumes. ...

Get the party started

Advantages: new social interactions, objects and skins
Disadvantages: repetitive

The Sims: House Party GET THE PARTY STARTED Yes, this is the second expansion pack to the best-selling PC game, The Sims. The Sims is an excellent game of total control - you create the families, and control their lives forever. They do what you say - you can make them have relationships, get a job, and so much more. To find out more about the concept of the game, look at my opinion on The Sims. House Party is the second expansion pack to the game. ...
...before The Sims: Hot Date and The Sims: Vacation (coming soon). The basic concept of House Party is pretty much what you expect - you help your Sims to throw the perfect party, with the help of new objects and non player characters. First of all, I have to say that I did not find this expansion pack as good as Livin' It Up. Yes, House Party did offer new aspects to the game, but Livin' It Up offered so much more. House Party does not offer any new ...

...this expansion pack to hit the shops, although I guess there was lots more I could do with the previous expansion pack, I wanted this one it looked more fun. You do need the original sims to play this, but the second expansion pack is not necessary, though worth buying. It cost me £19.99 from Electronics Boutique, and it was money well spent! It keeps me amused for hours, often I am sitting up until the early hours engrossed in a game. I have ...

I did find myself building identical types of houses to start with though. Also building what you would like, building your dream home. You have many more features in this pack, the ability to have partys (well ...

The Sims House -not really a- Party

Advantages: Lots of extra furniture, clothes and other items
Disadvantages: nothing special at all

...that you've got bored of the Sims now, it can get that way, even with it being a great game and everything. After a while the novelty wears off and as there isnt many skins to choose, you end up with a neighbourhood full of the woman with the best cleavage and prettiest face - for your men, who all look "cool". After a while i started playing more action filled games, RTS's and such. Then Maxis made an attempt to revive the sims: with 'the sims ...
...for a while, especially with the extra neighbourhoods. Then, again i got bored because someone gave me another good good game to play on... Now Maxis have brought out "Sims House Party" The idea being that every so-often after carrying on with your job to earn some money (or cheat, which nearly always happens on my game) then stage a big party and invite your friends round for a big party. There are a few types of party you can do, and unfortunately ...

Party On

Advantages: Great animation and many new items to buy
Disadvantages: None

"The Sims: House Party" is the expansion pack to "The Sims", and following the hugely popular add-on - "Livin' it up" (or "Livin' Large") - House Party has a lot of high expectations. Fortunately, it lives up to them. The Sims put you in charge of a family and let you deal with all their day to day problems, and made you play the game for hours on end - just to make sure that the child went to the loo and and not in his pants. House Party is just ...

Have a ton of food (just to keep those hungry guests happy) and remember - get that burglar alarm!!!! The last thing you want is a burglar nicking that widescreen telly you just bought with every last penny of yours! If you find all your guests doing nothing, then you know you're throwing a bad party ...

Advantages: in - depth detail.. everything!!!!
Disadvantages: absolutely nothing

this game is simply the best! it has everything you could imagine from a woman bursting out of a cake in a bunny costume who flirts with your party guests, to 7 different types of toilet! it is brilliant. you can use a money cheat and just make the ultimate dream house, or you can play the proper game and get a well paid job and start your way up from scratch. the building structure of the game is also very realistic and provides you with about 200 ...
...if your sim is fussy. the luxuries in the game are superb, hot tubs basket ball courts, swimming pools which you can build to any size(considering you have enough land and money) and of course the massive parties you can hold. when you move into a neighbourhood your phone holds numbers of all your neighbours so you can call them over and have a bash and drink large doses of alcohol... thats right! you have your own cocktail bowl where the sims can ...

More useless things to buy... In game, I mean.

Advantages: More stuff to boost your Sims lives!
Disadvantages: More stuff to suck away your life infront of a computer

The Sims, a worldwide phenomenon that took both England and America by storm a few years ago. You take control of virtual peopel whos lives you control, telling them what jobs to get, what food to cook, what fires to attempt to put out... You get the point. If you don't know what the Sims is, you really shouldn't buy this game (one reasons being it needs to original to run). Here is one of their seven expansion packs. This second expansion pack ...
...add a little something to the game but unless you're a Sims nut you won't find much use for them. Lots of new objects thrown in, my favorites being the bubble blowing machine, dance floor and campfire, the dance floor being the centre of some pretty funky moves dependant on the type of music playing. More cool features are the caretaker, whom you can employ to do all those jobs you forget about, and an "entertainer" to jump out of a cake and boogey ...

House Party - Balanced View

Advantages: Great parties and Group Activities
Disadvantages: Not so good for slower PC's

Like most people, I bought the Sims, then Livin it up, the House party. Now you can buy all three in a pack for a cheaper price. The Sims was great. One of the best games I have every played, however very soon after the expansion pack of Livin It Up was released. If the first one was anything to go by then this was a corker! I went straight to Electronics Boutique and bought it. It was great. New items, added wallpapers, absolutely loads of stuff. ...
...added gameplay or new twists. The parties were great, and the group activities were fun, but if your computer is 500mhs or less, it will run VERY slowly on your computer. Overall, the best buy would be to buy all three, but if you have livin it up and considering House Party, then think whether the most important reason is partying and group activities. ...

Bigger, better, but with a few bugs

Advantages: More detailed
Disadvantages: A glitch with downloading

...This product has certainly made the game more interseting, the trunk full of costumes is extensive and well detailed, the buffet looks great and the disco equipment is good. The possibilities with this game are endless, there are so many different themed parties you can have, You can go west with the cowboys and much much more. The game is great, it's made the Simms more interseting as after constant playing it was begining to become a little tediouse. ...
...I have had to uninstall the game from my computer and re install it, which meant that I lost all of my families, I am not the only one to have this problem, but others have managed to correct it and I have had to give up trying and will probably have to resort to buying the whole set of games again. Even with the problem, I still look forward to the next in the set which is sposed to be Simms Ville, loks very exciting. The game costs £19.99. The aim? ...
