    Catherine Cooksone had already written and published 26 books before she decided to try publishing under another name, of course many writers do this to try a different style of writing and not be all embaressed if it all goes wrong. Or to make sure it's not just their name that is selling the book but the quality of their writing. Thing is, the writinbg is unmistakably Catherine Cookson so off they went like a rocket. Of course now to sell even more books, this one and others including Miss Martha Mary Crawford and the House of Men are marketed under the name of Catherine Cookson. In the ... more
