This company do have a good range of CD's/DVD's at good prices, but the way they operate lacks quality.
They take too long to deliver items, they are sent in bit's and bat's, they charge your payment method in the same way.
Which isn't very eco-friendly and glad we use online banking as my bank statements have multiple enteries, and I don't mean one or two. I actually was guided to them by my bank through a discount card.

Well, I'm sure it's lovely and cheap if you can actually GET the product, but I ordered Mercury Meltdown for £6 on the 25th May. They emailed me 6 times since then saying "don't worry, it's on its way". On 14th July (nearly 2 months later) they said "sorry, out of stock, please re-order at current price" (£40...yeah, right!). What they SHOULD have done was either have a decent stock system OR taken the hit and sent me it anyway. It wasn't a case ... ...losing their margin. Result? Poor review on Ciao. On the plus point, they answered the phone quickly, it was a UK call centre, and they were polite and efficient, but no go on the product. Hut - if you're reading this, do the right thing, eh? Advantages: none Disadvantages: still waiting for a refund after a month
I ordered an Asus eee as a present on the 5th Feb 2009 and I had decided to cancel my order on the 17th Feb as they said that they were waiting for their suppliers to restock the product and I can't get the present on time. Now, their website mentions that they would provide a full refund within a month however it's now well over a month ago and I'm still waiting for my refund to appear from The Hut.com. Words cannot describe how annoyed I am with ... ...money from my credit card before the item was shipped (which their website stated that they would NOT do), but will take their merry time to return the money. Advantages: my pre order arrived very quicly Disadvantages: Delivery takes a little longer on some things
I've placed a few orders with these guys now, at the begining I was a little worried you know what it's like ordering online from someone that you have never used before and quite honestly everything has turned up really quickly with no problems.
My latest order was for the new bond movie which was released on the 23rd. I got my copy well before the release date......... Fantastic!!!!
In my opinion this film was a little crap, parts of all the ... ...it.
This place offers great prices and a big range of items.
Delivery is also good, most of my items arrived before i expected them, but you get e-mail confirmation when its been sent.
I'd definately buy more from them it's great.
Also the new lookis great.............. seems to of had a face lift!! ...

I recently had the misfortune of placing an order for a PS3 game through the 'hut'; and frankly its been the worst cusomer expericence of my life; I have received better service from indian call centers. The order failed to arrive after 16 days of waiting and despite me telling them that the order had not arrived, they told me to continue waiting. So unable to do anything, I continued waiting for the inevitable to occur i.e. wait a few more days ... ...the second time, that the parcel had not arrived and they replied saying they would send me out a declaration form that I have to sign and return (WHAT!!!!!!!). Now I am still waiting for the declaration form to arrive and have just emailed them to that effect. I don't expect this matter to be resolved in the near future. STAY WELL AWAY> ...

The Hut are a strange one. I found out about them after my partner was involved in the Entrepeneur of the year awards (long story) and this business won it this year. before that i hadn't heard of them.
I went onto their site, the hut.com and found out that they're an online retailer, not just dvds and games with very very cheap prices.
I've bought a book from them this week and also a cd and both were about 60% off cost price but the big bonus ... ...here and have to say that everything turned up on time.
As a site its a bit basic but if you're after a cheap deal it looks pretty good to me, not as slick as Play but seems to have more to offer eg perfume and lingerie, all in all it's quite positive. ...

I have ordered regularly from the the hut and have had nothing but excellent experiences, they regularly have sales and money off vouchers at different times of year, such as the £2 off all items voucher at Halloween. The huts prices are generally very good especially for new and pre-orders, some older games may be cheaper elsewhere however. Also delivery speeds are excellent, sometimes you will receive pre-order games before release date! I pre-ordered ...

I was looking around for a good price on a Wii game and came across thehut.com, I thought there website looked pretty good, they offered free delivery (like most people nowadays) so I decided to buy Mario Kart Wii from them on pre-order...What a mistake that was, I pre-ordered about 2 months before release (when they still had stock available) and also contacted just after I ordered to confirm they did have sufficient stock for me to receive on release ... ...shipped a day before and I was happy enough to think I could be playing it the next day. So it comes to release day and it didn't arrive so I just presumed it was still on its way (you know what the mail service are like), a week later, I received an e-mail from them saying that a mistake had been made and my reserved Mario Kart had been shipped to someone else who ordered! ...realized it was cheapest at thehut.com and it was in stock.
The website is very easy to navigate with a bright blue background with orange used in certain sections as an accent colour.
In the middle of the home page you have a section of DVD's of the week, Games of the week, CD's of the week and Books of the week. At the top you have your navbar with links to Home, DVD, CD, Games, Books and Memory. Down the left-hand side of the page, there is ... ...as well packaged (no damages). My first experience wit thehut.com has been a successful one and therefore I will use them again. The prices overall seem to be less than other companies but it depends on the product you are looking for.
