...myself a used IBM / Lenovo Thinkpad T41 for £129 and although it's a pretty old machine (probably from 2004) and fairly low spec by today's standards, I still feel it was a bargain. This was from Cash Converters. ==DESIGN==
The machine, like all IBM (now made by Lenovo) notebooks are intended for business users and so the design is not particularly sleek but instead, have a very 'professional' look to them. They all seem to be black with a little ... ...noticed that all IBM / Lenovo Thinkpads look alike and have the same body, keyboard and use the same smooth black matte material rather than plastic that most other laptops are made of. I quite like this as it feels nice and doesn't pick up finger prints or scratch as easily. The lids all lock when closed the same way and are released by sliding a release on the top right edge of the lid. The whole machine feels very sturdy with very good quality ...

Design
I’ve never been a fan of IBM laptops opting for the more stylish Sony offerings (as mentioned in my earlier review of my previous laptop). However when it came time to upgrade I decided to look around and see what else is out there. Following some great reviews on various websites I decided to give IBM a shot. My biggest gripe with IBM Thinkpads is the styling. I think that the multi coloured logo in the corner always makes it look cheap, ... ...they have not changed it still, but that is probably the only issue I have with the otherwise flawless design of this t41. The notebook is quite a reasonable size for the 14.1 screen that it sports and the fans are quite and designed to pull heat away from the laptop so that you can have it on your lap without worrying about it overheating, or even worse hurting yourself.

Advantages: Robust fells and looks greats easy to move around with. Disadvantages: Need more memory with it
I have brought eight of these IBM T41 laptops, there specifcations our, 1.6 GHz Intel Pentium Processor, 256 MB of memory but with have brought extra ram for making in 512mb, it has a 40 GB hard disk drive, 14.1" TFT active matrix display with Microsoft Windows XP Professional and it weights about 2.3 kg Weight and battery life is about 4.7 hours. It also has built wireless which is pretty good you will have to update the driver on the wireless card ... ...supports Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet but if youhave wireless you need this and has a ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 - 32 MB which is good and doesnt come up with any problems and it also has bluetooth capabilites to link your mobile to your laptop this will only work if you mobile phone has bluetooth built on it.
These laptops our excellent for people on the go very light easy to operate and to use in differnet enviroments can say anything ...

Advantages: 512MB RAM Disadvantages: THE PRICE!!! HA THEIR HAVING A LAUGH!!!
What the hell, have you seen the price they have come up with on this laptop, £2,119.99. this is an addition to the laptop series of review and i found one of the laptops i sold for 1thou and they sold it for 2, man i feel like an idiot, oh well. This isn't the best laptop so i dont really know why it is selling at 2thouGBP. As with my other laptop reviews i will tell you every little detail so it is understandable to everyone.

Advantages: well built Structrualy and performance is decenct. Disadvantages: could do with a bit more ram to 512 and shifted up to 1.5 hertz
The Ibm laptop i will say is a good laptop with well laid out display with easy access to all ports and also the quick functions on the keyboardallowing youto change setting right away instead of going through all of windows, plus the little bonus of the ibm thinlight nice little touch.
Disadvantages i feel for this laptop is that you get little memory like 256 come on ibm the genral user need 512 of ram and give us a pocksey 256 but easy to upgrade ...

(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors,dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
