Advantages: Lots of courses and tournament options. Disadvantages: Not inspired.
...after the recent success of Tiger Woods that he would be feature in a computer game. It can sometimes be a warning sign when a so called star is feature in such a product as it can mean the game is weak so they use a big name to try to sell the wares.
This game is wholly unorignal, but it is a golf game so what do you expect really? You start by creating your player, choosing what he or she looks like, basic playing style and then take on the world ... ...need to prove yourself and so have to win a qualifying tournament in order to progress to the PGA tour proper, where the money can be won!
You don't have to play 'proper' tournaments, there are options for matchplay, strokeplay, skins as well as the cup competition which involves playing as countries in a Ryder-cup like competition.
But the tournament season is where the game is at it's best as you can mould your character into a pro, with your ...

...realistic.
I've just purchased Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001, and to say that I'm disappointed is the understatement of the century ( so far ), frankly I'm not impressed. Advantages: Great Graphics Disadvantages: Too Difficult
I bought Tiger Woods 2000 because i really enjoy playing golf games. I have bought all the Links series and was a little disappointed with LS2000. So i decided to buy this as EA sports always make great sports games.

Anyway in single tournement mode you can change the difficulty level. I did enjoy the game at this level as i actually could hit some good shots. But i bought the game for the career mode and im disappointed it is too hard!
And also it needs a 400+ proccessor ...
