I’m a very brand loyal consumer and you won’t normally catch me changing from my usual products, until of course I move 180 miles south of Manchester and forget to take my shampoo!! It was close to midnight when I realised and I was starting my new job the following day *panic* so my lovely boyfriend went off to the 24hr petrol station to see what he could find, to my disappointment he returned not with my usual Fructis but with Timotei for Normal Hair/Frequent Use with extracts of Wild Herbs – better than nothing I suppose. It cost him £1.99 for 250ml but I’m confident ... more

When I saw the ad on Ciao for this competition I though I could give it a go. I am usually more inspired by travel, books, …but it is a new experience and I guarantee I’ll try my best to make you benefit the most of it. So here we are: Timotei offers a wide range of products essentially made with natural ingredients and make the shampoo time a real relaxation moment. Timotei is a wild Swedish herb full of magic powers. Within the broad product range, you can try out grapes pulp and peps, refreshing and regenerating; cotton bulb, nourishing and smoothing effects; peach milk, tonic ... more

Advantages Advantages smells great and actually works

    Disadvantages Disadvantages flyaway hair produced

The main aspect of the Timotei range is that it’s a product of “nature”. The picture on the front shows blossoming, green bamboo and bright juicy grapefruit to advertise this fact. The real reason I buy Timotei products is because I was sick of using Pantene as it left my hair dull and lifeless, and wanted my hair to smell great and look healthy. The 4 main things its products claim to do are * Make your hair shine It does this really well without leaving grease on your hair (this is what many other makes shiny- all the grease) * Strengthens hair After using it for a few time I could feel when ... more

As there is no category for Timotei Revitalising Herbs Shampoo for normal hair, I am writing it in this section. I have previously written a review on Pantene Pro-V. Writing this new opinion on Timotei does not mean that I have changed my mind about it at all. I simply believe that it is important to change your shampoo every so often because your hair becomes used to it and the product becomes less effective. You definitely notice the difference the first time you use a new shampoo and this is why I opted for a change. Timotei is made under French company Lever Faberge. It has been around for ... more

    Advantages Advantages Smeels nice, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Maybe not as good as some more expensive shampoos

Right where shall I start? The product that I am reviewing here is Timotei 2 in 1 softening Almond and Vanilla shampoo. It is a mild shampoo and conditioner for normal to delicate hair. It is made (obviously) by Timotei which is a Unilever brand. Unilever also make Dove, Impulse, Lux, Sunsilk, Vaseline as well as things like Ben and Jerry's and Bovril among many others! Right on to the shampoo and Conditioner..... First of all lets start with what is obviously the most important thing, no not what it does to your hair, but the smell!!! On opening the bottle you get a slight whiff of the almond ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely aroma. Nice price. Leaves my hair feeling nice.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

Yesterday I wrote about the revitalising herbs conditioner. So thought today I would write about the shampoo. As I said, I bought the Timotei shampoo/conditioner for £1.99 on a Buy One get One free offer from Sainbury's. For one bottle, you would normally pay £1.99 for a 300 ml bottle. Made by the Lever Faberge Company, the shampoo bottle looks larger to the eye than the conditioner, but is still 300 mls. Although it does say on the front of the bottle 'New Larger Size'. Not sure what the size was before though. The bottle is white with a picture of the 'revitalising' herbs on the front, along ... more

Advantages Advantages Good value, great results.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing

I tend to change my shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis as my hair gets used to it after a while and becomes unruly. Timotei is a brand that I can remember my mum purchasing when I was younger but not one that I even knew was still around. It was actually my husband who purchased this shampoo and matching conditioner for the first time a few months ago and not being one not to give something a try I opted to use it too and have been very pleasantly surprised by the results. I tend to have quite dry hair but this Timotei Pure is designed for normal to greasy hair. The shampoo comes in ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages No good to people with dark hair.

--- OVERVIEW --- Sensations Timotei Mild Shampoo, or to be precise, Sensations Timotei Mild Shampoo Golden Highlights Camomile & Amber Blonde or Highlighted Hair. What I have just written is the 'description' on the front of the product. You see, there is no actual exact product name that I can easily identify on the product. Timotei is the brand range, but to clearly give this product its own name is difficult. On the back it has two further names, Sensation Timotei Blonde or Highlighted Hair and Timotei Camomile and Amber Shampoo. Whether this confusion is good for the company or customer ... more

The black writing says it is for normal hair frequent use. The shampoo has extracts of wild herbs, ginseng and lemon tree blossom know for soothing properties and strengthening and shine enhancing powers. now to test it. Opening the lid and smelling the contents I get a fresh herby aroma a clean smell. The shampoo I squeeze onto my palm is a clear green gel. I wet my hair under the shower and put a little onto my hair I massage it in. I get a fairly good lather from a small amount of shampoo then rinse with warm water .As my hair is all dusty (I have been working in the garden and also we have ... more
