Toblertastic

Advantages: An original, creamy taste. All in all a delicious treat!
Disadvantages: Sucking the pieces may irritate the roof of the mouth, somewhat sickly

Toblerone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Produced by Kraft Foods Switzerland, the Toblerone is a taste sensation created using an original recipe comprising the finest cocoa beans, milk, sugar, honey and almonds. This delicious combination, which first hit the shelves back in 1908, is now easily one of the world’s most popular and well known chocolate bars. History ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The history of Toblerone begins with Jean ...
...Chocolat Berne, Tobler & Cie.’ Toblerone was first created in this factory in 1908 by Theodor Tobler, Jean’s son, and Emil Baumann, the production manager. Theodor Tobler applied for a patent for the Toblerone manufacturing process in Bern in 1906. The Toblerone brand and shape was also trademarked in 1909, ...

Advantages: They taste uniquely brilliant.
Disadvantages: Eat too many you WILL get fat.

...Bern, Switzerland created the marvelous Toblerone bar that we still enjoy today. Although created in 1907 it didn’t hit the shelves and become available to the public until one year later. The triangular shaped chunks are designed to represent the Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps and are instantly recognizable when spotted on a sweet shelf in any store. The name which suits it so well comes from a combination of Theodor Tobler`s sir name and the word ...

20 cm's of pure pleasure

Advantages: Comfort food at it's best, a well known brand, easily available.
Disadvantages: High in calories and fat

...HISTORY **** The name Toblerone is Cockney Rhyming slang for “On My Own”. In 1867, Theodor Jean Tobler, a Swiss chocolatier, opened his first store in Bern, Switzerland. In 1908, the same gentleman and his cousin, Emil Baumann developed a unique and distinctive chocolate bar, which was called Toblerone. The name is a mixture of Tobler (the founder) and Terrone, meaning honey almond nougat in Italian. On the packaging an eagle is displayed as part ...
...and also a dark chocolate Toblerone has been made and on sale to the general public. In 1982, Jacobs Kaffee merged with Suchard-Tobler to form Jacobs Suchard in Europe. In 1992, Kraft General Foods acquired Jacobs Suchard, making it number one in the leaders in the confectionery market. By the year 2000, the chocolate has gone from strength to strength and now in production are the toblerone minis and a filled toblerone bar with a navy blue wrapper. ...

It was this time a plain Toblerone with no added fruit and nut or extra honeycomb, and without these added ingredients. I bought one of them and wow I was surprised by the beutiful taste and smell!. This Toblerone was a plain Toblerone with no special ingredients like the dark chocolate ...

Disadvantages: Hard to break into!

...on some chocolate treats but Toblerone has to be one of my favourite chocolates I have ever eaten! ★★★★ What does it taste like? ★★★★ Toblerone has a very unique distinct taste - very unlike any other chocolate I have ever tasted! It has a very yummy creamy taste complimented with a subtle yet sharp taste of chewy nougat and honey! I am not a fan of honey myself but the taste of honey with Toblerone ...
...after eating too much but Toblerone is very different - I can eat a whole big bar and still want more!! The nougatty almond bits really break the chocolate up and compliment the creamy chocolatyness of the Toblerone with chewy crunchy bits that send me wild. They remind me of those nice extra sweet piece of popcorn you get in a bucket at the cinema! The whole taste of Toblerone leaves a very nice aftertaste in your mouth. Unlike some chocolates ...

Disadvantages: fattening if eaten in excess

...Nearly 100 years on and Toblerone which incidentally, the name is a play on words from “Tobler” and “Torrone” which is the Italian word for honey-almond nougat, is still very popular and on sale in airports all over the world as well as in supermarkets and other shops. ...people will be aware of Toblerone boxes. They stand out as they are so different from your average bar of chocolate. It is a triangular or prism shaped box, mine is a creamy yellow colour as it is the milk chocolate variety. The name Toblerone in large red letters, edged with gold and shadowed in blue takes up most of the box sides, smaller gold lettering above the name tells us that it is “Swiss Milk Chocolate with Honey and Almond Nougat” and underneath ...

No longer alone

Advantages: Taste
Disadvantages: Problem for some people to eat. High in fat

Toblerone :~ Toblerone we all know it's that triangular chocolate with the nougat bits in. A lot of people were introduced to Toblerone as a present from people returning from abroad as this is the main place consumers can find Toblerone. But it has now reached most supermarkets and even some corner shops. The best selling Toblerone is the milk chocolate but this could have something to do with it being harder to find the dark chocolate and the ...
...Toblerone has just arrived in our Asda but not tried this as I'm not keen on the fruit bits. Toblerone comes in a variety of sizes ranging from the individual wrapped peaks that you can buy from Woolworths pic a mix to the King Kong sized 4.5kg that sells for £39.99 also available from Woolworths. Just imagine sitting in front of the telly watching War and Piece(8hrs long) chomping on that and not offering any to anybody total self indulgent gluttony, ...

...a little research. The Toblerone has been around for nearly a hundred years. It’s distinctive shape and flavour are copyrighted. Nine out of ten Toblerone bars made in Switzerland are exported. ...getting a little tired of toblerone now and I often find myself tempted to throw chunks of them at the first tanned family member who hands it me as a gift – I never have though as I would probably find myself facing manslaughter charges. I'm not quite sure how many of us chocolate eaters sit there and smell the chocolate. However the smell of the Toblerone is rather rich and I'd be lying if I said it didn't smell chocolaty. The smell hits before you’ve even began to open the foil and is very sweet, actually having just gone up really close to the bar and having a good whiff it smells very like dark chocolate. The Swiss... a mixed blessing!

Advantages: Taste, varied sizes, brilliant packaging
Disadvantages: Expensive, the ridiculous shape of the segments

...(400g) milk chocolate version of Toblerone (with the gold wrapping). We shall start with the negative aspects for once! Firstly, although it looks unique, original and stylish, the triangle shape of the bar is really unnecessary. It makes the segments much more difficult to eat (more on that in a moment), creates inefficient storage (unless you have copious amounts of the stuff, and can therefore tessellate them successfully) and makes them more ...
...The price of Toblerone is slightly higher than the price of the equivalent in Galaxy or Cadbury chocolate. I bought three for the price of two on a ferry between France and England, and even then, with duty free, it cost £7.50. That works out to be £3.50 per large, 400g bar, which isn’t cheap by any means. However, it is a fair price to pay on the odd occasion or for a gift. Onto the positive aspects now. Firstly, the taste of Toblerone is something ...

Would u turn into a triangle if u ate a too much

Advantages: Nice texture, cool packaging
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive

Toblerone is one of the nicest chocolates on the market right now and has been for all the time it’s been around. The description the box gives is ‘Swiss Milk Chocolate with Honey and Almond Nougat’ and is made by Kraft Foods Switzerland. The product first appeared in 1867 when Johann Jakob Tobler (hence the name Toblerone) set up a small confectionery business called 'Confiserie Speciale' in Switzerland. He handed the business ...
...and honey. This became the Toblerone bar we all know and love. The packaging was gradually changes when a bear replaced the original logo of an eagle. This was then replaced in 1970 by the Matterhorn, which is Switzerland’s highest, and most famous mountain. In 2000 a bear was incorporated into the logo of a mountain. For a manufactured chocolate bar there aren’t as many chemicals as one would think. They are, in order the appear on ...

Advantages: Cheaper to buy as a duty free product!
Disadvantages: Not every type is avaible in some sweet shops!

...When I ate chocolate Toblerone was one of my all time favourites. It use to come in only milk chocolate, but now there are dark and white varieties. This triangle-shaped Swiss chocolate is an absolute European favourite. I do not know anyone who does not like this chocolate! It now comes in two different flavours as well as the three chocolate varieties. The traditional Toblerone yellow consists of Swiss milk chocolate with honey and almond nougat. ...
...believe the claim! Toblerone now accounts for 48% of total exports of Swiss confectionery to the rest of the world. Toblerone is now available in one hundred and ten different countries. The triangle shape of the Toblerone bar was probably chosen because it reminded the clients of the Matterhorn, one of the most recognisable symbols of Switzerland! Oh how I wish that I were not hypersensitive to chocolate! **History of Toblerone** *Mid-1700’s* ...

Heaven is a triangle

Advantages: I love nougat!
Disadvantages: slightly more expensive than other chocolate bars

...without fail, bought me a Toblerone Easter egg. She knows just how much of a fan of both chocolate and nougat I am, so why not combine the two?! Toblerones have been around for a while now, but they obviously have staying power. In my household, at least, they've become a favourite chocolate bar - hence the Easter eggs for me and the other four children. Over the years, other varieties of the bar have appeared - these being both a white and a dark ...
...The packaging of a Toblerone varies - sometimes you will find it in a standard sealed piece of plastic, like most other chocolate bars, sometimes, as with the one sitting in front of me, surrounded by silver foil and placed into a cardboard tube. I say "tube" - the actual shape of the cardboard is that of a triangular prism to accommodate the rather strangely shaped chocolate itself - but more about that later. The cardboard is of a camel colour, ...
